I told you how to do it. What I said would take very limited resources and wouldn't need a power source.

Dead zombies rot. Rotting creates methane. Methane powered zombie killing machine. You use the zombies to kill the zombies!

So is the virus mutating? Seems like it's starting to infect their food supply. Or maybe it's airborne now.

Haven't read the thread, but these were my thoughts while watching the show this weekend:

- We get it...there are couples everywhere. That was weirdly shoved down our throats.

- The show has Cutty and De'Angelo Barksdale now. Nice.

- Wonder how long the chain link fence will hold...definitely needs reinforcement.

- Hard to believe that there are still people in the area that haven't stumbled upon each other/the prison.

- That kid (who ended up getting eaten) needs to not point his shotgun at Darryl.

- How was that store still fully stocked?

- Zombies falling through the ceiling was pretty sweet.

- Crazy chick subplot was kinda stupid and pointless. There was no payoff either (I was hoping the three questions would be). No idea why Rick didn't blast her immediately when she attacked him.

With so many walkers at the fence and constant dropping them, wouldn't the dead bodies start to pile up and walkers would start walking on top of them and over the fence?

It seems like there's not enough time or safety to go outside and move the bodies before more come. Or maybe after one wave there's a window of calmness before more come?

Another thing I was thinking was to dig a moat about one hundred yards off the fence surrounding most of the prison. Eventually it would fill up but you could burn them with prison sheets and dry grass and kill several hundred at a time as they are stuck in the moat.

I didn't notice this until you mentioned it. Maybe it was an attempt to show life was beginning to become more "normal"?

I'm thinking there aren't that many folks left in the immediate area that are looking for others. The ones that haven't been encountered yet are either on the move or purposefully hiding.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that.

It was a secured site that had gone bad. Instead of keeping the zombies out, the fence ended up keeping them all penned in. My guess is that the epidemic hit the are too hard and fast for any looting to take place.

I think the whole story on Rick this episode was about how he's trying desperately hard to get away from the killing. The events of last season sent him into a very dark place and after coming back from it he's scared to even get close to it again for fear of falling back into the darkness.

That's just my quick thoughts on it, so take it with a grain of salt. ;)

It's also hard to believe that there are still "damsel in distress" types, as if the ZA just happened. Anyone left by now should be pretty hardened and you should be immediately suspicious of someone wanting to join your group by playing helpless rather than trying to prove their worth.

Especially camped out in hunting range of the prison.

I thought the same thing when watching, though that would never really happen since once the bodies started piling up outside the fence, it would be much harder to kill them from inside the fence. Fire is always the answer though.

It would also give the zombies much better leverage on the fence if they are standing on mounds of their dead.

I would think some strategic attacks on the zombies outside of the walls would be a better strategy. frick use some of those massive vehicles from woodbury and go mow some of those frickers down.

I don't see her as a damsel in distress, I see her as a psycho. My guess is that in the muck all over her was lots of Eddie's zombie goo, the kind of stuff Rick and Glenn used in Season 1 to get through the zombie horde.

I meant she was playing the "please help us" card, and people who have to play that card should be dead by now.

I assume so, but it was like they made a specific point to show us like 4 or 5 couples kissing and loving on each other in the opening minutes. It felt really weirdly forced.

Darryl/Carol
Glenn/Maggie
Cutty/his woman
Beth/Terrible gun safety kid
And even a little flirting with De'Angelo and Cutty's sister.

All in the first 9:51 of the show.

Sure, but at some point you venture out/explore/need supplies/etc. Not to mention that most in the area are likely FROM the area, so they'd know that there is a giant, safe-ish prison around.

I understood their explanation of it, but just figured in a ZA, all stores like that wouldn't last very long. Even if it was secured/protected...as soon as it fell, it would be ransacked. I guess there simply aren't that many people around anymore. I'm guessing maybe like less than 5% of the human population are still humans?

I could see that. Still felt pretty pointless though, as he's fought with that since the show started.

True. Could easily just make an afternoon run of a couple of laps around the fence to control walkers.

Also, it felt like they're getting lazy on how they kill walkers. At one point, Cutty's frail woman gently pushed her crowbar into the fence and it demolished a walker's entire face/head. I mean, it was so gentle and light that I noticed it and rewound it and it cracked me up.
