The Governor really gets under my skin. I was really hoping he would just stay gone. Hope in one hand I guess...

The governor can be like the reverse of Walter White.

I slept on it and rewatched but still do not care for the episode last night. Just think there were better ways to go about this. I'll be pretty mad if the Governor has a quick death because then it will feel like last night's episode (and it looks like next week's too) would have been a waste.
I wouldn't have liked it if Breaking Bad took two episodes away from Walt/Jesse to "develop" Gus Fring.

I wouldn't have minded an episode. Still have a whole lot of questions about that mofo
But with that said the walking dead is a much different show, now based more on a community rather than a man alone. I can say though, I do like the governor more now as an all around character after that episode than I had before.

The flu epidemic arc is done, there is not much left to do at the prison. They are setting up the next mini-arc of the show
This... I enjoy the focus episodes more than the bouncing back and forth episodes. Episode started with a dark and somber tone and stuck with it. It felt heavy and tense the entire way through because you know what the Gov is capable of. Favorite Gov episode ever.

Well they showed the Gov alone at the prison at the end of the second to last episode.
This episode shows some back story, but obv not all of it.
So does Gov lose the family and little girl between those 2 times making him even crazier? Does he run off from his other associates? Is he acting alone?

I really liked this episode. I was starting to get sick of the flu epidimic.

I think as an audience we are being herded in that direction to wonder, "is he at the prison to seek revence or to make peace".
Maybe the torn down walls in all the promos are just metaphorical?

More likely that they die soon, but the Governor may know that the prison is the safest place for all of his new lady friends, so he could be taking them there. That would mean someone else is behind the rats on the fence, though.

I think it's the little girl who has a fascination with them and Glenn's blood vomit.

They only show him but that doesnt automatically mean he is "alone"

I think so as well. I don't see it being a pivotal part of the story, and never have. More just showing that the kids still don't understand what the walkers really are and think they can feed them like pets.
Guess it's kind of like owning a pitbull?

Yeah, this season has shown so far that the children growing up in this now are very vulnerable and perhaps don't fully understand the dangers the world now has.
Carol was helping them in that department. The girl treats them as pets so why not feed them as such? Not understanding the butterfly effect of simple actions. Like Carl throwing rocks at the walker and what happened to Dale.

so when it all started,
-one of the sisters stole a bunch of oxygen canisters from the hospital
- someone earlier said a tank is good for 12 hours
- at minimum its been 18 months since it started
-so, 18 months= 547 days. 2 12hour canisters per day, so she stole 1,095 canisters?

Possible he wasn't as bad off when it started and didn't need O2 24/7.

Anyone else keep listening to the song they played in the opening montage? I can't seem to get enough of it.

I like the change of pace. These episodes with The governor will be crucial for the second half of the season.
