I don't see how this episode can end any way that's not anticlimactic. They spent half a season building towards an epic war, and they can't possibly wrap up the whole war in one episode. Disappointing really.

Anyone else watching the marathon right now notice that Season 1 zombies were faster, smarter and more agile? They ran, climbed, used rocks to smash glass, crouched to try and get Rick under the tank, banged their fists, etc. I guess "fresh" zombie blood is stronger.

A couple of things that stood out to me when I re-watched the pilot. One was that the zombie girl that Rick saw at the gas station picked up her doll. Also Morgan's wife was attracted to the house where she died (and that Morgan & Duane were living at). It was as if they still had emotional ties to those objects.

Maybe they were eating more.

I'm a huge fan of the show but they are losing me a little this season compared to the previous ones
Season 2 was all at the farm. With a lot less characters than you have this season. And it was still focused on the whole Rick/Shane/Lori Triangle.
But I still kind of agree though. Each episode my boyfriend and I feel like it's pretty slow, but has a good ending and spend the next week talking about how great this coming episode is going to be... then it starts off slow with a good final 10 minutes again.

The zombie using the rock to break the glass door at the department store caught my attention also. I didn't think the zombies could do things like use tools. Even the girl bending down to pick up her doll puzzled me. The zombies in the 1st season were a lot more intimidating than what they've in this season.

Also just noticed it took a gang of them to take out the walker eating on the deer, now their heads practically explode off whenever touched

LeBron obviously taking Merle's death kinda hard. Did a tribute for him.
Even the King knew of his importance. R.I.P Merle

Yeah, I noticed Rick repeatedly hit the zombie that was sitting outside of the house with a bat several times in the head and didn't bust it open. Now they bust a skull with one swing.

Now that I've taken a second look, how the hell did Merle get down from there. He fricking cut his hand off and the door was locked!!!!
Never Mind. Just saw there was another door

The same guy Darryl just shot in the butt was the same guy that had the monkey come out his arse in Bruce Almighty

Big city zombies. (well, except for the girl with the doll). They think they're all that.

Was I the only one who thought it was very unrealistic the way the gov just beat the shite out of merle and killed him? Bad writing imo merles character was just so much more of a hardass compared to the governor. Oh well anyways can't wait for the governor to die. I don't think I've ever hated another character on tv as much as I do him.

Glen is gone IMO. The reconciliation and sex a few weeks ago and his weird interactions and proposal this episodes lead me to think so.
