Hiatus is industry lingo for cancelled.
She didn't say they were going on a summer break, or vacation. When a show goes on hiatus, it means they're leaving and some if not most of them won't be coming back.
That's how I read it, at least.

Think about that. To gain favor with is fans and higher ups on the Left, Colbert went on public TV and hurled the most disgusting and vile attack of any network host at a totally innocent man. Just because he beat Hillary.
The Trump/ Russia claims were fabricated. They were never real. But that didn't stop Colbert, his network and the entire industry from trying to destroy a 2 term president. And they're STILL trying it, without an ounce of regret or self awareness.

not to mention the fact that he has spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hourse trashing Trump in every imaginable way, then he has a meltdown when Trump makes one snarky comment about him.

The good news is that advertisers will have to chase viewers where they are, rather than go to corrals where they're trapped
The bad news is that Apple, Google and Microsoft don't let you go 1 second without spying on you as it is. Chasing the soon to be freed up network ad dollars, they will redouble their efforts to follow you, study you and really give you targeted ads, good and hard.

I think the only thing keeping abc and cbs of the world on is local news and sports. Nobody watches any of the other trash programming.

David Letterman savagely ridiculed General Electric, who owned his network at the time. It was mean-spirited mockery too. But he made money, and that's all that mattered to Jack Welch. You cant lose $40 million and slander your bosses and keep your job.
