While Netflix has made it much harder to find out when movies expire, some Reddit sleuths have picked out an extensive crop of chopping-block titles. You can see the date the license is up yourself by adding them to your queue. Remember that just because they're going now doesn't mean they're never coming back. But with nearly a week of daylight between now and when they're gone, why take that chance?

Need to watch Capote soon then.

Add to that list Miller's Crossing and The Long Goodbye, both on my instant list that come off January 1st.

So, they will disappear just from streaming or they will be gone from Netflix completely?

Is there any way to know what's replacing them?

Best movies Netflix is adding
Some truly outstanding works of film are coming to Netflix on Jan. 1. As of the first of the year, the Netlfix library will add "Amelie," "Raging Bull," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "West Side Story" and "Children of a Lesser God."
The Netflix library will also add lowbrow fun stuff like "Spaceballs," "Red Dawn," "Scrooged" and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles."
Wait a minute... "Scrooged" and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles"? Those are Thanksgiving and Christmas movies! Why would Netflix add these titles after the holidays are over?
Because cable TV channels have the exclusive rights to those titles during the holidays. Don't expect to see those two popular holiday films still on Netflix when the holidays arrive in 2014.

Allow me a stupid question, but why would they be removing those movies in the first place?

License expirations.

As they said, just because they are disappearing doesn't mean they won't be back.
