It's #2 on the list for a reason. Aside from being well done, it relies heavily on firsthand eyewitness testimony from Hitler's personal secretary (the main protagonist of the film) and other people who were in the Bunker and survived the experience. It's about as accurate a portrayal of the last 10 days of Hitler's life as you can get in film.

What? Goodfellas is much more accurate than that and the movie deviates very slightly from Henry Hill's book.

I think what he was saying was even though it was accurate to the book, how accurate was the book?

Been a while since I looked at it The overall aesthetic of the time/place was great but I recall there are some major differences. Balian was not an unknown bastard in France.

Tucker Carlson (spare me, just listen to the interview) had a guy recently walking through Watergate. He's written 3 or 4 books on it, ans was one of Nixon's staffers. He explains quite clearly how All The President's Men was utter horse crap.

Schindler's List was based off of a novel, which itself was based loosely on a true story. No.3 for this is just wrong.

Lone Survivor is pretty spot on, with a handful of alterations.

I did some research, and I was a little surprised at the accuracy of Zero Dark Thirty. It was very close to the first hand accounts. They may have slightly inflated Maya’s role, but she was a real person who was obsessed with Bin Laden. The details of the search and the raid were spot on for the most part.

Honestly not sure, but Wolf of Wall Street?

I remember seeing Jordan interviewed a few years back about something else, but the reporter asked "How much of the movie is true" and he said about 90% of it was accurate.

the fact that "Lone Survivor" is based pretty much on the word and the story of the, well, lone survivor should immediately disqualify it from anything on a "historically accurate" list. there are a bunch of claims made by ML in that book that have been called into question by various people who were involved directly or tangentially. i dont see how it could possibly be considered anywhere close to objectively historically accurate.
