Watched it last night with my college aged kid and two who are in high school.
We all enjoyed it. Entertaining movie.
Kids said this morning that is was good.

Great. I’ve always loved these sorts of movies. Sure there are plot holes and cheesy moments and the ammo is nearly infinite, but it’s a lot of fun. Reminds me of watching Tremors over and over with my Dad.

That said, the actual very final 2v1 fight was extremely entertaining, so it went off on a high note
I laughed out loud when Pratt ended up just boxing the monster though.

I laughed but it was awesome. I really wish he would have put his hand on female and said “it’s a afraid!”

I’m always a sucker for monster/alien movies. The action was fun, but man, the writing and story made no sense at times. The ending felt super rushed.
It was an enjoyable Friday night movie, and will probably enter my rotation of “I can’t sleep and just need something mindless to watch till I fall asleep” movies.

Is it a thread about a new film if this guy doesn’t go out of his way to let everyone know that he can watch it for free via torrent sites?
blueboy is a douche. You get used to it and learn to appreciate other aspects of his posting, or not.

It was strange though how the entire future mission to capture a queen and create a toxin, which was most of the movie, ended up being pretty much pointless.
The toxin that was used to kill the only surviving queen at the end? That toxin?

How was it great? The plot holes in this thing are the size of a black hole.
Da Truth,
I hope you aren’t referring to time travel plot holes.
I don’t know why people who complain about time travel plot holes bother watching time travel movies.

I'm watching now. It's like a lot of these movies. Some parts are really good and some parts are extremely slow.

He used the toxin but she could have been killed blunt force trauma, the toxin wasn’t a necessity. I don’t know why they didn’t just blow the ship up.

Worst case you put the toxin in/on billets and then shoot them like normal to kill them. Maybe try to aerosol it and flood planet (as long as not toxic to humans) or use as aerosol grenades.
But yeah, just blow up the ship they were contained on and don’t worry about losing anyone’s life.

Considering a black hole has infinitely small volume, I fail to see your point.

Correct. That toxin. It was pointless and nearly got everyone killed. Had they blown up the ship immediately, no toxin would be needed.

Won't use taxpayer money to fly to Russia. Damn that was an eye roller. This movie would have been a lot better with 20 or 30 minutes cut out of it.

I don’t know why Gandalf didn’t have the Eagles fly Frodo to Mount Doom and drop the ring in from the air.

At least they didn't give the aliens a computer virus...

The comedic relief guy was pretty funny, bet we'll be seeing him more here soon. Watched it by myself and again with the wife. It's great for what it is - a mindless sci-fi flick. Solid B

ked it. The only problems I had were them finding where they were located, and how they found the ashes on the claw of one that made it all the way to Miami.
He didn’t get it in Miami. That dude had been on 3 tours and his first was Russia. That was where he got it
