Not a villain but a scene. The abduction scene in Close Encounters where Ralphies mom is trying to save her son scared the shite out of me. I didn’t sleep for a week. It’s this wholesome family movie with the bonkers intense abduction scene plastered right in the middle.

Also the furnace in Home Alone, not sure if that counts as a villain though.

I don't know if its been said yet, but as a kid, this guy scared the crap out of me.

Night Slasher from Cobra with Stallone.

But I did want the knife.

This part freaked me out.

ETA: I didn't know this was about kid's movies in particular but my dad didn't give a crap about what I watched. I was 8 when this came out.

Also the furnace in Home Alone
When I was preschool aged, we lived in a house with a gas wall furnace in our hallway It made all kinds of noise and the heating element glowed an orange/red. Even when it was hot outside, and it wasn't running, the pilot light would still be burning, so it looked like something was moving behind that grill. In the winter, it was loud enough that I could hear it popping, cracking and hissing in the bed. If I woke up, and no one else was at that end of the house, I would stay in bed until someone came back there. I could hear the rest of my family up in the kitchen, but I wasn't going past that thing.
