And in the Prequels, EVERYONE is awful. Everyone. Liam Neeson, Samuel L, Ewen McGregor, Natalie Portman...it's a combination of atrocious dialogue and having no real stage. Like everything was filmed against a green screen.

Valiant effort, Sirs Lee and McGregor. Otherwise I agree.

ROTS is the best of the Prequels which isn't saying much. There are so many disconnections and plot flaws in that film.

Lee was the only one who did a good job of acting but hey, it's Christopher Lee. Problem is, they barely used him.

That's a solid ranking Antonio, I'd have it the same way. I'm in the camp that really liked TFA and thought it was the first since Jedi to really feel like a Star Wars movie. I like how Abrams made it look more real too while only using enough CGI to enhance it.

Rogue One was great too and just strengthens ANH to me. The beach fight scene is one of the best in the series for me.

Revenge of the Sith is easily the best of the prequels...but it's like being the tallest midget. Still not enough substance there. The prequels have also aged poorly...wayyyyyy too much reliance on CGI so they just look fake like the actors are always against a green screen.

I liked Rogue One. It was nice seeing the rebellion without the Skywalker family drama. I wonder how much better the series would be if Vader was not a skywalker. Vader was used very well in his scenes. It was an action movie. There are no jedi. The empire is in control and you are on your own. I think that one will age well.

Could've done without the princess Leia scene although I understand why they had it.

Agreed as well.

I'd rate the movies as 4 > 5 > Rogue One > 3 > 6 > 2 > 7 > 1

You're han solo? This is the millennium falcon? You know Luke Skywalker? That's Chewbacca? This is outer space? A long time ago? In a galaxy far far away?

TFA has become the movie that it is cool to hate on. . .

I enjoyed it. . .but I guess I am in a minority of billions

I think the true minority is the people who hate on it, honestly. It was a fun movie.

It's somehow become hip (at least in this thread) to like the prequels. Revenge of the Sith is a complete shitshow but by comparison to the other two it doesn't look all that bad.

ROTS isn't as terrible as TPM and AOTC. It's still kind of bad, though.

I pray to Allah that the prequels are redone at some point.

They could be fixed by with three things:

1. Rather than child Anakin being a happy little sprite as a slave child on Tatooine with a bowl cut like a kid from the suburbs, make him a real slave child with a dark childhood that plays into his turn.

2. Strip out all of the obnoxious CGI which would fix a lot of the bad acting from Oscar winners.

3. Change the Obi Wan vs Anakin duel from some drawn out horseshite where they are surfing around on robots in a lava river into an impactful duke out in one or two locations.

Nope. If ever, it needs to be completely redone from the bottom up. Write them as if you were walking out of a screening of Return of the Jedi in 1983. The OT is the only thing by which you are bound.
