Also, him not wanting to rehearse anymore because that's what people with autism do is kind of subtext to the last scene made me laugh

Honestly my head couldn’t wrap around the “meta ness” of this episode the meeting he had for instance had my head spinning.

Him tanking the autism test had me cracking up

Are there spoilers in this thread? Just finished S2 EP1 and was going to talk about season one but didn't want to read the thread if it had season two spoilers.

What a show. Can tell immediately that season 2 ramps it up a notch.

And holy shite getting those significant others of the actors and inviting them to come watch diabolical and that brunette was hot and didn’t give a shite and then the other with the bra coming undone. Was half expecting one of them to go full on fricking because you know, acting and stuff.

Same

The older black lady talking about getting wet while reading Einstein's autobiography had me in literal tears. I was dying. It just kept going on and on. And Nathan starts it off by asking "How do women have wet dreams" Black lady: "Women can get wet."

What a great episode.

EP3 was pretty wild and seemed like something out of the Twilight Zone, but it wasn't quite as wild as I was expecting based on the title. The actor episode was definitely better imo.

Nathan was also a fantastic wingman. Dude could not have made it any easier for the pilot to makeout with this girl. They are acting, say you want to kiss her, and she is totally cool with it. He only does it one time and when he does he kisses her on the cheek, Come on dude. I feel really bad for him because she's not going to keep going out with him if that's the kind of moves he's putting on. Seems like a genuinely nice guy but man his game is so bad.

Just watched the season finale. Holy cow.

Nathan is always a step ahead… he planned this two years ago!

This season has been a great ride… unique… creative… dude is legitimately fearless.

Holy cow. What a finale. Nathan becoming a commercial airline pilot is utterly insane. Just unbelievable television.

Unbelievable end to season 2. Can't believe he and HBO actually did that.

Yea, what a great finale. Just a great show in general and truly unique.

When he's interviewing the actors about their roles on the 737 and says "You're ok with me being the pilot" I was thinking I wonder what he means by that. Then it goes into a 2 years ago flashback. So awesome.

I would have done a different approach in front of the congressman(?) though. Making it a requirement for pilots and co-pilots act out roles is just kind of a dumb idea. I was surprised that was what his actual presentation was. Hell just require them to actually meet before hand and introduce themselves before they are actually in the pilot chairs together. Would be a simple but effective way of opening communication and also a realistic thing to ask. You can't expect them to pass a law to require two people to play characters upon meeting each other. Not surprising the guy was just abruptly like "Ok thanks for coming, bye."

Just finished the finale. Dude took a bit too far and now it's like his job LOL. Just an amazing show and like I said in the original post, episode 3 is just so wild.

Man, I was on pins and needles when he was landing the 737.

And the Evanescence song at the end was perfect hahaha.

the mri results

As usual I couldn't tell what exactly was real there, but I'm leaning towards him purposefully gaming it to make it seem like he was in doubt when he really wasn't.

I think the actual takeaway was when he deleted the voicemail, indicating that he didn't even want to know, because it might put his license in jeopardy.

Coupled with his words about being the smartest, etc., I think he's trying to shine a light on these pilots who are very talented individuals but clearly have some issues and are afraid to get help because of the potential ramifications.

By the way, was it just me, or did it seem like he actually did donate that airport set to the autism charity there at the end (it had a specific name on the banner he was holding)? That was pretty cool to see.

Legit cracked up at that.

I love this show. If I did have a complaint though is that both seasons basically dropped the original intent and just became about him.

Season one after the first rehearsal with the guy wanting to break the news to his friend about lying to them for years, the story was for a lady to rehearse with a kid from an infant to 18. Well halfway through he makes it about himself being a dad, makes them go back in years so he can make up for lost time and then kind of blames it not working because she wasn't fully playing the part when he was gone. I mean he was the one who threw off the schedule and made them have to go back in years, I don't blame her for not taking it as serious. Also, very oddly made her out to be anti-semitic, which she clearly wasn't.

Then season two ends up just him becoming a pilot.

I don't care at all and I would watch 10 seasons of this show, it's freaking awesome TV. Just a small complaint.

I feel the same. There should have been some sort of epilogue to go show what he ended up doing with the results of all of his studies / testing. As ridiculous as he and his methods are, the actual issue that he brought up seemed meaningful. Maybe it was just a dead end I guess, but that left it a little unfulfilling. But it's hard to complain when they end with the Wings of Voice winner doing "Bring Me to Life" while he flies 737's over the Amazon at night.
