Star Wars films are actually the story of the radicalization of Luke Skywalker. From introducing him to us in A New Hope (as a simple farm boy gazing into the Tatooine sunset), to his eventual transformation into the radicalized insurgent of Return of the Jedi (as one who sets his own father’s corpse on fire and celebrates the successful bombing of the Death Star), each film in the original trilogy is another step in Luke’s descent into terrorism. By carefully looking for the same signs governments and scholars use to detect radicalization, we can witness Luke’s dark journey into religious fundamentalism and extremism happen before our very eyes.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

People would hate it, but it would be interesting if Disney did a "Wicked" take on the OT and told the story from the Empire/Sith side.

Yeah much like Maleficent vs Sleeping Beauty. I would 100% be on board.

Alderaan ring any bells?

And that wasn't even a military move. It was just to test it.

It was the center of power for Bail Organa and the rebel alliance.

Anyone in favor of nuking the entire Middle East should be fine with the destruction of Alderaan.

Don't forget. In Episode I, Palpatine wins his bid to become Chancellor in an election running against Bale Organa.

No, he doesn't. It was Bail Antilles.

He brought Vader's body from the Death Star and cremated it. It is the end of Return of the Jedi.

That was a pagan rite, done by Vikings and the like. Pretty sure Muslims don't burn bodies because they believe in the resurrection of the body one day like Christians.
