Ending of episode 1 was awesome. My only beef was with the soundtrack during that sequence.

About halfway through and its awesome. Hadn't started the Defenders yet but have seen all the rest except Luke Cage and tend to agree. I'd say Punisher/Daredevil are top 2 for sure.

I finished it up last night. Fan-friggen-tastic. It was even more brutal than I expected. They did a good job at balancing out the action with the character development.

Agreed. I was quite surprised at the quality of the show. Hopefully Marvel & Netflix realize they hit a home run & change the direction & tone of their future installments.

I’m kinda afraid they won’t. Many critics hated this show mainly due dumb reasons such as “it was too brutal” and “too pro gun”. I’m afraid Disney will make them to turn down the violence.

I don't see how they can really transfer anything over from Punisher to the other shows other than maybe bring Frank into the mix more with the other series.
Jessica Jones could go pretty dark, she's the least good of the good guys, but she also doesn't fight all that much. She uses her detective skills and street smarts more than her powers.
Luke Cage is a boring tank and seems to like it that way.
Danny Rand, the immortal Iron Fist, protector of Kun Lun and sworn enemy of the hand, couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.

Did I miss a prequel of some kind? It seems as if it picks up halfway through the story.

my only complaint was how he grunted so much. It honestly was uncomfortable when he grunted. But other than that one stupid complaint, it was awesome

Kinda
He makes his first appearance in the first half of season 2 of Daredevil. His storyline in DD was by far the best part of that season. The 2nd half of the season had a different storyline and was kinda lame.

They just skipped the origin story, because it's been done in movie form already.

One episode left and I'm pretty close to if not already ready to say this is the best Netflix Marvel show. It's really been awesome.

Seems like they got more into the origin story in season 2 than season 1 through flashbacks and dialogue.

The ending to The Punisher isn't very good but I thought the show was really good.

This is up there with DD Season 2 if not ahead of it. I was really worried that they wouldn't have enough story for 13 episodes but man I was glued the whole time. Really bought into the characters and felt for them unlike Iron Fist and Defenders kind of fizzled. DD Season 3, should they bring back Frank and Kingpin might have a power level of over 9000.

Finished in a couple days. Good stuff. Looking forward to the next season.
