I've been on a all things WW2 kick lately and not sure why I have never gotten around to watching either of these, which one should I watch first?
TIA
TIA

Pacific first so you don't compare it to Band of Brothers and judge it by itself.

Band of Brothers is better, but BS&B makes a good point.
both are very good

BoB v. Pacific Thread
BoB is the far superior show. Pacific is great, though, and I agree with BloodSweat&Beers, watch the Pacific first, then watch the greatest show ever produced for Television.

Good advice.

Band of brothers. I would not even bother with pacific. If there was a show I could unwaatch it would be the pacific. Only reason I stuck it out because I thought it would live up to BoB

I haven't seen all of The Pacific yet, but I did lose interest about 3.5 or 4 episodes in and just stopped watching.
Band of Brothers is one of the greatest things ever put on television though.
So I agree that watching Pacific first may be the right move, so that you can give it a fair shot before BoB blows it out of the water.

Read the previous thread about it.
It is extremely unfair to compare the two shows.
The Pacific is great on it's own but BoB makes it seem shitty because the source material (European front, following one outfit, the book it was based on) is plainly far superior. It's just not fair..so stop it.

I would watch Pacific first. You might be let down if you do it the other way around...

Not to take anything away from The Pacific it is a great series, however Band of Brothers is a lot better.

Neither were "great".
Slight edge to BoB.

Something I would highly recommend would be to read the book "With the Old breed" by Eugene Sledge before watching the Pacific. It's the guy that the Pacific focuses on a lot and what te series is based off of.
I watched the Pacific and then read the book and then watched it again and I felt it made the series 10x better.
BoB still the best though IMO

I'm curious, what shows do you consider great?

You're literally the first person I've seen say that BoB wasn't awesome. But you're entitled to that I guess.
Second best TV series of all time IMO.

Nah, just watch BoB twice and skip Pacific.

Watch "The Pacific" first so you won't be disappointing by it after seeing Band of Brothers. "Band of Brothers" was one of the single greatest scripted programs to ever premiere on television.
