Anyone else watch this? I watched it with the wife last night. I thought it was pretty good, but would have preferred it was a series and not a 2hr film. They needed to flesh out the backstories more IMO.

Charlize Theron was great in the action scenes.

With this and Eurovision getting so much love on this board recently, I fear for our future.

It was an entertaining popcorn flick, and I’m interested in learning more about the team. Definitely left if open for a sequel.

Charlize almost has to be considered an action star these days.

I know its sexist but I don't traditionally like women in action roles. Charlize does better than most.

On that note, where does Hollywood think this is going. My wife and i were talking about this the other day. Most women don't like action/hero movies and most men want to see men in those roles yet Hollywood insists on cramming the PC down our throats. Are they going to continue to ignore the real target audience? Its got to impact sales and we damn sure know Hollywood is driven by the dollar.

I'm not really sure Netflix is worried about sales for this movie since, you know, it's a subscription service. If it doesn't get enough clicks/plays, then it won't get a sequel.

I thought it was decent to pretty good.

I love seeing beautiful women do wild crazy shite. Charlize does great in this atomic blonde etc

But I get ur point

Scarlett Johansson another one love watching beat dudes down

Atomic Blonde was a hit at the box office and this movie is a hit on Netflix

Not sure your right bet Black Widow movie does extremely well and is pretty damn good

I really liked it. Fun action movie that didn’t require too much thinking.

Clearly set up for a sequel. Andy isn’t long for this world so I assume any sequel will also be the final movie. Unless they throw in some loophole where she can lengthen her life. I like the set up for the next movie and think it could be quite good.

It's hilarious to think that beautiful women kicking arse doesn't appeal to males. Try to reset that Twitter brainwash.

Not to mention Netflix alone releases about 20 new things per week. It's not cramming anything down your throat if one service alone is providing you so many diverse options. Don't watch the movie that makes your pee pee feel funny if you don't want to.

Well this was based on a successful graphic novel with the same characters so its not like she was some girl power character a studio exec made up. You might have a point in general but this was just a faithful adaptation of it's source material.

I think it did well as a movie. Only having 2 hours kept the plot moving forward. And they must be planning on a sequel based on the credit scene.

Thanks Captain Woke - Feminists around the world are emboldened now that you have picked up the guidon. I dont have a Twitter account and if you read carefully, the comment wasn't directed at Netflix.

Did not know this and I actually thought Charlize did a good job. She is one of the few that can pull these roles off ref Atomic Blonde.

Ah, so you were complaining about Hollywood in general. That makes less sense considering you have even more options, as you expand from one single service, to avoid what you deem as woke stuff being shoved down your throat.

And of course, my mentioning the beautiful women piquing men's interest is expressly non-feminist, but everyone that takes time to think more than you is just a woke bozo.

Watched the movie late last night. Let's run down the woke bonafides:

-Majority white team of heroes.
-Majority male team of heroes.
-Based on graphic novel by one of the biggest (white male) writers in comics this century, who also wrote the screenplay adaptation.
-Only connection to the real world is it includes the pharmaceutical industry.
-Heroes kill indiscriminately regardless of race, sex, or proven guilt.

I'm so sorry Hollywood/Netflix/whatever boogeyman you believe in forced you to watch such obvious virtue signaling (of what, exactly, would be a mystery, but I'm sure you worked that out before you watched it). It's clear from that list above that action movies have changed so much from the Golden era of your nostalgia.

If we get a sequel, I'm hoping we get the flashback scene where Nicky (Nicolo) and Joe (Yusef) "met".

They talked about it in the movie but they didn't show it and it's kind of hilarious.
