Innocent was pretty good (3.5). It was a bit of a slow burn for being only eight episodes but becomes pretty captivating if you stick with it. There are many on the list worth watching before this one, but if you want something quick and/or want to see a Turkish take on the genre, I’d recommend checking it out.

Has anyone seen Traitors (WW2 series on Netflix) yet? Tempted to jump it to the front of my queue.

Bloodline

3.5 / 5

Bloodline started out incredibly awesome and I don't see any reason to think it wouldn't have continued as such and ended that way. As we know the reason it seemed to end SO abruptly and take a nosedive the last few episodes (and arguably, the last season) is because of the loss of tax credits for filming. It's my undrestanding they basically found out late in teh process and basically were like "welp, frick. I guess we gotta wrap this up ASAP". For somethign like that I have a hard time really faulting them. The "true" bloodline we got was extremely compelling though and rewatchable.

4 out of 5 at the moment. Some of it got a little cheesy towards the end of the most recent season, but like bloodline is/was still enthralling throughout most of its run so far.

Updated. I didn’t realize that about Bloodline. Explains the drop off in S3.

Broadchurch 4.5
Luther 5
Sherlock 4.5
The Killing 4
True Detective 4 (would be 5 if it weren't for season 2)

***I changed Luther from 4.5 to 5***

Dark - 3.5

Added all. Not sure about Lost - that may be a bit too prime time drama relative to the list we have here.

Yea I'd probably vote no on lost too. I was trying to stick with something that a cop or detective is involved. Its driving me crazy, there are a few more that I cant think of.

Absentia (I’d say 3.5) on Prime was a good series. Also would Killing Eve (maybe a 4.5) fit here? It’s awesome. It’s a BBC series I’m currently following on AMC.

Additionally, The Chalet (Netflix 2.0) is a French series that was decent and Top of the Lake is a UK series set in Australia/New Zealand starring Elizabeth Moss. It’s a solid 4 and is very entertaining.

Thirteen is a really good UK series staring Jodie Comer (Killing Eve). I’d say 2.5. Also, Safe is UK. A 2.0.

HBO’s Big Little Lies (2.5) and Sharp Objects (3.0) are 2 others that are pretty good.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (80s and 90s BBC series w/ Jeremy Brett) - 5

Hes the best Sherlock ever. Those are so true to the books too.

Added most of your ratings. I definitely think Killing Eve is fair game. I’m skeptical on Big Little Lies, as my wife watches it, which tells me it’s likely not very mysterious, thrilling or procedural. What do you think?

Big Little Lies,

Haha. It’s definitely not your normal suspenseful detective show. It’s got a who-done-it element is why I included it. I get rather desperate at times to find another good show in this genre- I’ve watched most of the ones listed. Leave it off. Great job on this project.

Id vote no on BLL as well. A good series, but I dont think it fits this bill.

Surprised nobody else has voted on Ripper St. or Twin Peaks.

So I need a new series to watch. I'm interested in The Tunnel. Is each season an individual murder mystery? I hate shows that try to drag the same murder mystery out over multiple seasons. I like when the story gets wrapped up at the end of each season and a new one begins with the some of the same characters the next season. Like The Sinner.
