SoGaFan is probably in the FBI and has been described by colleagues as a "straight arrow".

I am far from a straight arrow. But I went to school with assholes like that. They aren't all that entertaining to be around.

Just got back from a showing, and I thought it was fantastic. Acting was solid all around and DiCaprio/Hill both deserve Oscar noms.

And Margot Robbie over and over again.

Margot Robbie is a total hottie. She might be passing Kate Beckinsale for my new #1. Kate has held that spot for the last 10 years or so.

Also, I was having a blast for the first hour of this movie. Following him as he got into the game was great. The first day on Wall Street. Lunch with McConaughey. The first pink sheets scene. Teaming up with Jonah Hill. Breakfast with his old buddies. I loved the Asian dude. I wish he had more screen time.

Saw it this afternoon. Leo had to have one hell of a time making this movie. Really good overall. Was expecting a little more but I was pleased. I've never seen so many people walk out of a movie before though.

It felt kinda like Casino with more drugs and sex and less gangster violence.

Great movie, it was the Goodfellas, set on Wall ST/NYC during the 80s. Leo Dicaprio

Thats not how it really went down, but nonetheless, he had the FBI breathing down his neck, taking a private jet to Switzerland would have raised all kinds of flags, thats why the idea was to drive there.

As for the Chinamen, he didnt even work for Stratton Oakmont and Belfort hated the guy.

There were parts of the book I'd like to have seen more empahsis on, but I get packing it all in 3 hours was a task. But Janet and the Master Forger should have been more prominent.

The movie, understandly, was more about the degenerate lifestyles and less about the actual crimes committed.

Also had a Gatsby feel too. Cheap, classless extravagance.

I took the moral of the story to be that financial crimes are TOTALLY worth any punishment that could come your way.
