Saw it last night... Great movie. But no shite in less than 30 minutes, I counted 15 people that left the movie, because of how vulgar it is
My town must either be filled with heathens or everyone was already driven insane by family members because at the 7ish Christmas Day showing, nobody walked out and everybody was constantly cracking up.

nice, yeah, I kind of started dancing a little bit, but I was on a date, though, so I had to contain myself. Funny date movie, by the way.

just saw it. it was extremely mediocre. Anti-climatic. the story was boring so it seemed like they put in tits arse and drugs to make it interesting. leo and hill were good not great. Leo was much better in django.
If you love nude girls and drugs you might think this movie is awesome, but if you allow yourself to look past that, it is pretty meh.

It was Jordan Belfort's life. Did you want Scorsese to make shite up to make it more interesting for you?

I heard it sucked....I'd like to see it to judge for myself though.

It was awesome.
a few favorite parts:
- Cerebral Palsy. Especially when we see what really happened to his car.
- John Bernthal's (Brad) character was awesome. My favorite non-major character
- Scene when Jonah Hill was talking about why he married his wife was awesome. I could not stop laughing.
Also you know your getting old when the soundtrack of a movie which is set in the past/based on a true story includes music from your youth.

Admit it. You never lost interest cause you were getting a blowie during the movie
Jonah hill tends to bring that out in chicks

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I thought American Hustle > Wolf of Wall Street.

I tried to look past the drugs/boobs because it's hard to discern whether Scorsese put them in for shock comedic value or to actually show that this what their lifestyle was all about.

Best movie Ive seen in years. Loved it.

Im leaning towards that is what really happened.
In the book it states that female sales associates at the company were "servicing" other guys on the trading floor, for no real reason.

Were any of Dicapros monologues excerpts from the book by any chance?

I wanted to see it last night, but it was 10pm and the three hour runtime kept me away.
Saw Anchorman 2 instead.

quote:read the book, scorsese didn't add shite. this was a very accurate depiction of the book. he did change a few minor details but that had to do with other things not the hookers and blow

yeah I think the reason why he sunk the yacht was not becuase he was trying to ge tto Morrocco. But rather he insisted on going out in rough sees, for no particular reason, he just wanted to.
