I loved the warehouse guy ("Nathan" I think) interpreting for Ernesto. He cracks me up every time he talks.

Just watched it.

Awesome, awesome episode. One of the best in a while. I still don't like Andy as the manager, and clearly nobody respects him in that role, but this was classic Jim/Dwight shite...and it wasn't forced or stupid. Also bringing back the whole Dwight/Angela thing, and that is always a good thing. I was wondering how they were gonna handle the jury duty thing with Dwight at the end, but his speech during the credits was perfect. "Kids...they practically raise you, amirite?"

Kevin was awesome. Creed was awesome. Oscar was even good. Hell, even Pam was tolerable, and her picture of Ryan cracked me up.

People can say what they want, but this season has been very solid.

Didn't care for this episode at all.

Last two were good.

Every episode this season has had a different feel to it. This one was a little slower, a little more classic Office, which I had to get used to. The last few episodes have been more "new" Office, a little more edgy, fast-paced, and weird with Robert California getting screen time.

I enjoyed this episode, but it could have been better with giving Andy less screen time or making him funnier somehow. The only part about Andy tonight that I enjoyed was how he wanted to do a coverup but then quickly folded and blamed Jim for it. That was Michael Scott-esque, but he played that part well. Everything else with Andy though, the cold opening, the chill pill thing, him slapping Jim - none of it was funny to me.

Man, I guess I'm in the minority but I really just don't find this show that funny anymore. It's to the point where I might crack a smile a few times per episode. I feel invested and keep watching but am definitely not enjoying it like I used to. Dwight's interaction with Angela and holding the baby up to the senator was pretty good, but Andy's interaction with Jim and Dwight was bad to me and that was most of the episode.

I keep holding out hope that it will either get better or get put down for good.

You aren't. Most everyone thinks this - however, without fail, each week the Office thread is full of posts proclaiming that episode to be the "best in a while" or "best of the season"

I've gotta say - this was one of the least funny episodes of the show perhaps in its history. It was just downright atrocious - from the writing to the acting.

It's been hit or miss all season, the last few being hits. This one was a miss to me.

Great episode. The popular thing was to bash on the show during the down episodes. The last three have been money.

I don't understand that. This episode had a lot of things that made classic Office episodes funny.

Oh well..

It just didn't do it for me. The whole "Jim faked going to jury duty" bit wasn't funny whatsoever. And I've come to simply hate Jim and Pam's children at this point. That scene in the office with them crying was cringe-worthy.

Dwight had some funny moments but that was about it.

I've gotta say that I think the show loses a lot of comedic value with Andy in the role of manager. He's much funnier as a bit character.

While I disagree with your assessment, I completely agree with this. I don't know if anyone would have succeeded in the manager role though. Michael Scott was the manager of Dunder Mifflin for all intents and purposes. I don't think that after seeing all of shenanigan's over the years, our brains could except a replacement. I watch the show today like it is an entire new series. Maybe that's why I am still able to enjoy it.

It wasn't one of the better episodes, but it was still an enjoyable episode. I think they are trying to hard with Kevin's racial jokes (this week it was the whole "it would be funny if the baby was black" comment), but I think Andy is starting to come into his role as manager.

I don't really like the transition of Jim becoming too much of a family man, but I would like to see them get one or two new main characters. Someone they could evolve with.

If the show gets really desperate, they should probably considering chucking some of the background players they've never developed over the years (Meredith, Kelly, Kevin, etc.) and hope lightning strikes twice (a la Jim and Pam).

Also, it couldn't hurt to have Ryan climb the corporate ladder again. Why isn't he manager? There's no conflict with Andy as manager.

These threads are so depressing to read. Even before it aired you had people whining about how bad the show sucks.

It's not as good as it was in it's prime but it's still better than 90% of what's out there now.
