The episode with Polyphemus is maybe the biggest crux of the whole plot and the movie treats it as almost a random event.

That's just nolan and his pacing and editing style and trying to cram everything into 3 hours. I felt the same thing while watching oppenheimer

Major moments just happen with no emotional impact because everything is moving so fast

I felt this way in particular with the encounter with the giants. Everybody dies in like 10 minutes and they're just like "welp on to next thing"

I felt the same way. Enjoyed it, but the returning vet PTSD stuff is not really working through the adventure episodes. It just shows up at the end to explain why he spent 7 years fricking Charlize Theron on a beach.

This was my biggest critique of the movie. The first hour moved very fast.

And I realize there was lots of moments in the story Nolan wanted to show, but it was very much as you state, "LAND! Oh no! Back to the boats!" and 30 seconds later we are doing it again.

I chuckled after the third time of Matt Damon yelling "run!"

Movie was like riding a rollercoaster or playing a really good video game. Just quick and kept moving.

I do not believe it has been talked about in this thread but I enjoyed the music in the movie. Perfect "PLUCK" noises when it was time.

I've often said here I like sparky Jay's videos. I've shared them before and said she's the best angry YouTuber for obvious reasons.
