The point is D&D don’t have to work on this show anymore so they stopped trying to make a plot that makes sense

Looked like Jon thought the same thing and was just going to go live in the North.

Tormumd: "4000 people died repairing the wall"

Jon: oh, yeah. We probably don't need that anymore ..

The point is they didn’t know what else to do because they suck at their job. That’s literally the best they could come up with.

Jon's going to be the new king beyond the wall.

Me. Snow, tear down this wall!

Because we needed it for the Night King because he wanted to kill people. For some unknown forgotten reason that was never explained well but was killed trying to kill the three eyed raven, whatever the hell that is.

So unsatisfying.

That's kind of how I took it. He is going to retire and slay a bunch of wilding pussy.

The point was made obvious that he's done with Weteros and all of its bullshite....it would have been truly fitting to have "Now We Are Free" playing as he gave the world that he was rightfully king of and preventer a worldwide massacre a giant F-you on the way out as he goes to be where he is truly at peace.

The old world owed him everything yet gave him nothing but a few fleeting moments of gratitude...now he's done with them....I thought it was quite a good touch.

"He was a soldier of The North...honor him..."

Jon is going to fall in love, marry well, and father many children.

He will live a full life.

As much as they cucked Jon in the last season, the middle finger at the end was a nice touch. I honestly thought he was going to throw the black crow cloak off once I he door closed. It would have been better that way. His last few moments on the show, from the hug with area on, were the easily the best parts of the episode.
