Pretty much reported it straight. But, I suppose, on TigerDroppings that's "bashing oil companies" and supporting the liberal agenda.

Go back to your room and read The National Review and put on your Lee Greenwood album. This board is off the charts.
No subtly with you, is there, VOR?

Really enjoyed this. Will add to my weekly line-up.

+1
I thought it was very good. I'm hopping on the bandwagon week 1.

I thought this was excellent I will definitely be watching next week. It really did feel like I was watching breaking news.

Pretty good show. Had no clue how it would do. A show about news sounds pretty lame but this flourished.

Was flipping channels and caught the opening. Man I am glad I caught it at that moment. Looks like it can be really good

I also enjoyed it, and I'm of little tolerance to liberal or conservative circle jerks. I don't understand all of the negative reviews that were floating around, unless they managed to see upcoming episodes. Will definitely be tuning in next week.

I love it. It was odd seeing it open on day of the BP explosion

Solid show. I look forward to next weeks episode. Sunday's have been slow since GoT ended.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It's just that the ultra-conservative POV of a huge proportion of TD posters bleeds over into areas that have nothing to do with politics. So many of them are genuinely trying to be offended.

I enjoyed the first episode and definitely found some positives and negatives.
Positives:
- I like the way it was shot. The wide span shots definitely give you a feel of the size a layout of the newsroom and make the show feel more real.
- The intensity of the show kept it entertaining. It was pretty hard hitting for a pilot episode and brought you in pretty quick while still having some character development.
Negatives:
- The dialogue seemed a little too quick and clever making it feel a little too fabricated. I know this is Sorkin's style but it made the show seem a little fake to me.
- The acting seemed hit and miss. In some scenes Jeff Daniels seemed believable and in others he appeared to be trying too hard. I thought Emily Mortimer did well. Sam Waterson really annoyed me.
- I feel like the show might be a little too self righteous at some points which could get annoying.
- The ending of the episode was bad and was way too cheesy. It seemed like the ending of a really bad romantic comedy.
Overall I did enjoy the episode and will continue to watch. I haven't read any reviews yet but am curious to hear what others have to say about it.

I wasn't expecting much going into it. Kind of got suckered into watching it by my roommate, but I am very glad I did. I was impressed with it and thought it was "intelligently funny." Which isn't something I'm usually into, but I thought they did a good job with the show and I will definitely be watching this every week.

Also wasn't expecting too much, but very impressed so far. I like the quick wittiness (which can get a little hard to believe) but makes it quick and easy to stay focused. Hopefully it continues on this track

Except that's not how it's really made.
I don't know that so it's good to me.

this show was garbage. bunch of unbearable storylines, no likeable characters IMO. hate it more than "treme" i think.
and im usually very patient/fair with hbo shows. i still watch "bored to death" and "hung" and i lasted a season and a half on "treme".
i don't see how so many of yall enjoyed the opening rant. it was so phony - there is no way that at least 2/3rds of a left-slanting audience who went out of their way to attend a roundtable discussion wouldn't have been on their feet stomping and cheering. they'd really be cowering and feeling bad for the girl? no fricking way. they'd be like a Bill Maher audience as he rips into how dumb Arizona is. Really rang hollow to me.
maybe i just hate AS and think his stuff is super contrived. I hated this show.

Sorkin is probably my least favorite guest to ever appear on Real Time. He was a complete pompous douche.

Aaron Sorkin is an elitist prick but I really like his writing style, even if it is unrealistic.
