Holy shite this looks dumb. Now there is basically a pet dinosaur. Can’t dinosaurs just eat stuff? Why do we always have to infuse human emotion into everything?

Calm down Capote, it's a movie about dinosaurs.

The black mirror Easter eggs in that trailer is strong

Did you not see "Jurassic World"? It's pretty obvious what that "pet dinosaur" is supposed to be.

It certainly isn't smart science fiction, and I doubt I'll go see it in theaters, but it'll probably be a good enough watch for what it is. I am excited about Carnotaurus on the big screen, though. Hopefully, it gets more screen time than what's in that trailer.

The last one was pretty dumb too, but it was still a fun action movie. I expect the same.

Really only the original Jurassic Park was a legitimately good movie with depth.

The trailer makes it look like an environmental disaster movie with dinosaurs. I can't think of a single environmental disaster movie I've ever liked. They are usually nothing but over the top action and special effects.

the whole volcano thing is where the story gets off the rails, would they not have checked that before building the park

Volcanologists and geologists were the one expense John Hammond spared. Oops!

It's how he was able to afford that quality ice cream.

Edit to add:
Or maybe the scientists cloned a volcano from prehistory by getting some samples of igneous rock!

They needed a reason to make another movie about dinosaurs.
How are they planning the save those dinosaurs? Bring them home to raise?

The original park was powered by thermal energy from the volcano. I guess they just hoped it wouldn't go off anytime soon.

Some old spinster is going to adopt them, but the movie takes a sinister turn when Dini (she names him that) eats all of her cats.

It’s a zany romcom staring dini the dinosaur and Meryl Streep.

I have to be honest. I love Jurassic Park. But I think they’ve run out of material. The park is cool. The park going out of control is exciting. Bringing the dinosaurs to the mainland is interesting. Going back to the island years later and seeing the changes is good. But we’re at the point where there’s not much left to do with the dinosaurs. Jurassic World had a lot of nostalgia and a cool new dinosaur that was explained fairly well. This new movie will have none of that
