David: Utica, Albany, all the other branches are struggling, but your branch is reporting strong numbers. [Michael smiles] Look, you're not our most traditional guy, but clearly, something you are doing... is right. And I just, I need to get a sense of what that is.
Michael: David, here it is. My philosophy is basically this. And this is something that I live by. And I always have. And I always will. Don't ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what. No matter... where. Or who, or who you are with, or, or where you are going, or... or where you've been... ever. For any reason, whatsoever.
Michael: Sometimes I'll start a sentence, and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way. Like an improv conversation. An improversation.

one of my favorite things from The Office is when Stanley goes out of his normal character. I'm watching the "bring your kid to the office" episode and when Kelly rats on Ryan for "sniffing after" Stanley's daughter and he goes off on him is outstanding.

"Have you lost your mind because I'll find it for you."
I like earlier in the series when Michael says the sexy school girl pic at Stanley's desk brightens his day.

Yep, and then in the episode I just saw, Stanley says "Michael, you remember my daughter?"
Couldn't tell if that was a call back to the episode where Michael comments on the photo, or bad continuity.

In Scott’s Tots, the most cringe inducing episode along side maybe The Dinner Party, Michael tells the kids he can’t afford to pay their college tuition. He then tells them that online college is a viable option,” The beat way to access them is through your own personal laptop. Which is rendered useless without batteries and I have one for each of you. As they all scream he shouts,” Hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on, they’re lithium!”

Watched that one the other day. Super cringe
There was an episode prior to that one where he calls Oscar into his office. Michael looks crushed and worried. Oscar asks what's wrong. He tells Oscar that he has to have a very important procedure and he's worried.
Oscar asks what procedure and wonders if everything is okay. At that point Michael explains he has a colonoscopy scheduled and wants Oscars input on what to expect since he's so experienced on that end.

The colonoscopy conversation can't be mentioned enough. I may have already said this multiple times in the thread, but that is by far the most laugh out loud moment for me.
It's right above "BUTTLICKER! These are our lowest prices ever!"

What make's that whole scene is that Dwight and Michael act like it's 100% real.
Jim: Michael I like the sound of your voice. You know what I'm going to do, I'm going to buy 1 million dollars worth of paper products today.
Michael: You see that? That's how it's done.
Dwight: You are the master!
That may be my favorite scene of the whole series outside of the fake radio interview that Nellie, Jim, and Pam give to Dwight in Season 9. It's one of the few bright spots after Michael leaves IMO.
Dwight: Oh, I'm OK. I just want you to know that I believe in you. I really do. And I believe in your ability to make the right choices. I always have, David.
David Wallace: Well, thanks Dwight.
Dwight: You're welcome, sir. But David, listen to me carefully. I'm gonna need you to let the mailman go.
This is after the fact that they convince Dwight to strip his clothes because they say it's causing radio interference.
This thread is amazing, btw. Every time it's bumped I try to start a few pages back and work my way to the new post just to laugh again and add to it.

It's kinda gone from underrated moments to moments people see during either a re-watch or from CC. It's gold and I hope it never dies.

People always say the Scotts Tots episode and Dinner Party are the cringiest, and often times I wonder who actually believes this, or who says it just to go along with the crowd. Because while they are somewhat cringey I don’t find them even a fourth as cringey as the episode where Phyllis gets married. Dude squeezing himself into the groomsman line at the altar, screaming out to the church the announcement of “Bob and Phyllis Vance” before the priest finished marrying them, and the reception toast before Bob kicks him out are like 10x worse than anything in those two episodes.

I would say Phyllis' wedding was way cringier than Scot's Tots, and about on par with the Dinner episode.

The wedding doesnt get mentioned enough with the cringe. Michael's toast hurts to watch and it's amazing

Michael: I have recently taken a lover.
Jim: Well that’s great.
Michael: Thank you.
Jim: Congratulations. Who’s the lucky lady.
Michae: Pam’s mom.
Jim: What?
Michael: Pam’s mom Helene. Remember from your wedding?
Jim: You’re messing with me.
Michael: About what?
Jim: You did not have sex with Pam’s mom.
Michael: Oh, big time.
Jim. What kind of car does she drive?
Michael: She drives a green Camry.
Jim: ****
Michael: And the seats go down. (Bends hand flat against the table) Allllllll the way down.
Jim: Oh my God. (Michael continues slamming his hand against the table.

Creed (to Meredith about Angela): Andrea's the office bitch, you'll get used to her. I'm Creed (shakes Meredith's hand).

A small moment, but I always laugh.
Michael comes out of his office after speaking with Jan.
Dwight: "What did Jan say? Was she mean to you?"

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I just watched the performance review episode from season 2. Michael is trying to analyze a simple voicemail from Jan and Stanley is in there enthusiastically discussing it with Michael, who proceeds to ask him if he learned that on the streets. Stanley says, "yes, I did learn that on the streets...in fact, I learned it in the ghetto".
All as a means to get a good review from Michael
IIRC, he actually says "On the ghetto." I don't know why, but that always made me laugh more than if he'd have just said "in the ghetto."

Oh dear. Perhaps I'll watch through S7 and pretend like the decline didn't happen. Those episodes with Andy and the lost family fortune were terrible. Ugh.
Definitely watch them all. The show definitely does suffer for a bit after Michael leaves, but it stabilizes a good bit once James Spader comes around. However, he ends up sticking around for a LITTLE bit too long and it suffers because of that. But then it bounces back okay. While I agree that them trying to force Ed Helms into a "leading" role was a mistake, there were still some solid episodes that happened while Andy was branch manager.
S8 and S9 definitely had some misses, but there were also some pretty solid hits, and those two seasons get unjustly hated on IMO. What show wouldn't suffer when its strongest cast member (and leading man, no less) leaves..?
And I don't want to get into specifics since you haven't seen it yet, but S9 ends really, REALLY strongly. And the finale is great.

two small things that i have always enjoyed about pop music with Michael.
Early on Michaels ringtone was "my humps", but it was the tone one, not the actual song being sung like you'd have today, since old flip phones didn't have that option.
Also, when Michael comes flying into the parking lot after getting his job back, he's got the top down on the chrysler blaring Lady Gaga, and says "it's Britney Bitch"

It was awesome when he'd pop in for a quick visit, make some ridiculous comment about sexuality, and then leave.
