Was it the fun run or was it another episode where Michael didn't understand how a pledge worked. He ended up pledging a "total sum" number like $20 or $50 and was very pleased with himself. It turned out to be a "per lap" sort of pledge and he ended up owing a lot of money.

It wasn't the fun run. It was something for Oscar. Everyone was pledging 2 or 3 dollars and Michael gave 25 I believe. But, his face was priceless when he found out what was going on and the wheels were turning in his head trying to figure out how much money he just gave away.

Didn’t look I up but I believe that was season one the alliance. That’s the same episode Jim convinced Dwight to dye his hair blonde and go spy on other branches. Not to mention to Jim told him to spy on a meeting by sitting in a box in the warehouse.

Yeah, it was in the Alliance.

Michael: How many miles did he do last year?
Oscar: Last year, he walked 18 miles.
Michael: Son of a bitch. That is impressive.

I also like at the end of the series when Andy is on YouTube viewing his guitar video ...

I try to block out the last two seasons, especially later seasons Andy. Watched every season nearly double digit times, only watched the last 2 seasons like twice. They tried hard to ruin a great show with Andy and Robert California.

There are some really, really good moments in the last 2 seasons. It's a different show without Michael, but it's still amazing.

I really didn't watch the last couple of seasons at the time, but having gone back and watched recently, I completely agree.

Just finished up the last 3 seasons. The bad stuff started at the end of season 7 when Holly came back. Season 8 was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. Season 9 has a couple moments, but still really bad.

Putting the main focus on this character ruined the show. I guess Helms had started doing things in movies, so they tried using that to make him the star of the show. Season 8 is basically unwatchable.
Even the last season, things pick up when he’s gone, then quality goes back down when he comes back. They tried turning him into Michael at some point, but it just didn’t work cause he had none of the charm of Michael Scott.
Before Holly came back, this show consistently made me laugh out loud. Once she showed up the last time, it became overall a different show. Oh, and Will Ferrell showing up. Complete waste of a guy that talented.

Wow. Amazing? I honestly don’t see how anyone could think season 8 was anything but terrible. You must really love that Andy character.

They do the sales contest and Michael says he will put up $100 then checks his wallet and it's $83.
He puts it on the wall behind the picture, but when Daryl walks but he puts hits back in his wallet.
Hahahah

I don't like Andy so much as I do the effect he has on the other characters and what they do or say around him.

was watching some of the final episodes last night on CC...Andy's rendition of I will remember you was solid, I remember watching that when it first aired, that's when reality set in that the show as truly about to end. Good stuff.

I was watching this morning on the bike and the one where it's the new copier vs new chairs, Michael is in the break room talking to the camera holding a diet coke while pouring sugar into it during the entirety of his lines. I just thought it was great.

watched a couple episodes last night too. I laughed a lot harder than I remembered the first go around when Pete was describing how they treated his old dog the day before they put him down, and then Erin wants to go outside and throw the frisbee

Season 8 and 9 have their moments but they suck as a whole. Still say they have some of the best intros, feel like that day around and spent 5 hours making the intros and made the rest of the episode in 10 minutes.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I just watched the performance review episode from season 2. Michael is trying to analyze a simple voicemail from Jan and Stanley is in there enthusiastically discussing it with Michael, who proceeds to ask him if he learned that on the streets. Stanley says, "yes, I did learn that on the streets...in fact, I learned it in the ghetto".
All as a means to get a good review from Michael

Okay, I admit I am watching the Office for the first time, ever. I am maybe 1/2 way through S 6. Well, I was out of town recently and Comedy Central was showing reruns from S 7, i think. There was James Spader, a bunch of Andy's family that included John Gruban WTF and no Michael.
I just stopped watching it. I did not like it. At all.
Posted on 7/4/18 at 2:12 am to HaveMercy
Anything with Spader is season 8, hence the suckage. They tried to make Andy into a leading man and realized they couldn’t. Then in season 9 he vanishes due to other filming obligations and they basically bandaid stories together like, oh this might work. It really didn’t. At least the finale was great.

Oh dear. Perhaps I'll watch through S7 and pretend like the decline didn't happen. Those episodes with Andy and the lost family fortune were terrible. Ugh.
I am loving the hell out of this show. Forgive my blasphemy, but I think it's better than Seinfeld.
