So many to choose from......but #1 is no doubt....

‘Miss Stamper, Col. Willie Sharp, USAF Ma’am. Requesting permission to shake the hand of the daughter, of the bravest man I’ve ever met.’

Gets me every time

It’s the Independence Day speech. All Presidential candidates should be required to recite that speech to judge their worthiness for the highest office. I gotta know if the aliens attack you can get us going.

The Gordon "Gordo" Cooper (Dennis Quaid) has himself a day bit as told by the narrator in The Right Stuff is an overlooked gem IMO.

....on that glorious day in May 1963, Gordo Cooper went higher, farther, and faster than any other American - 22 complete orbits around the world; he was the last American ever to go into space alone. And for a brief moment - Gordo Cooper became the greatest pilot anyone had ever seen.

"A toast to my big brother George: the richest man in town."

It's a Wonderful Life puts me down every time with that scene

I feel as through Mel Gibson's speech in We Were Soliders is one of the more underrated in war movie history.

quote:

During this fight, I've seen a lot of changing, in the way you feel about me, and in the way I feel about you. In here, there were two guys killing each other, but I guess that's better than twenty million. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you’s can change, everybody can change!

Sergeant Alvin York:
"Well I'm as much agin' killin' as ever, sir. But it was this way, Colonel. When I started out, I felt just like you said, but when I hear them machine guns a-goin', and all them fellas are droppin' around me... I figured them guns was killin' hundreds, maybe thousands, and there weren't nothin' anybody could do, but to stop them guns. And that's what I done."
