The Mando theme is such a banger. It has an OG trilogy quality to it. Also reminds me of the Rocky “Going the Distance” theme song as well.

It was like a completely different show. It didn’t have the structure or rhythm of the first two seasons. Very strange

Probably because Mando kept saying he had to purify himself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

Why are so many star wars fans so adverse to watching boba?

Totally. Right up until Mando showed up, I thought he was the kid who was joining the order and we were getting his backstory.

She was supposed to get her own show.
I guess that got scrapped.

Watching Luke training Grogu was pretty cool, plus we got some Luke and Ahsoka interactions. They are basically the first three episodes of this season, or at least a bridge to this season.
.

I watched 5 and 6 tonight and glad I did. Baby Grogu and Luke were just adorable! I can’t even imagine how these fit into the Book of Boba.

I don’t know. It just felt kind of theme-parkish.

I got that vibe watching the pirates and especially the pirate king. Almost felt like I was watching the Orville or Galaxy Quest in that scene.

I did too. I’m just a casual fan though so I wonder if those that have watched and know everything there is about Star Wars are the ones who don’t like it.

Mando was basically everything we wanted to see from Boba for years. But since Mando came out first, they had to take Boba in a different direction and he just wasn't the character we had envisioned for the most part.

That's been my position the entire time. Din Djarin and Boba Fett were conceptually supposed to be Fett. You'll never convince me otherwise.

It was not as bad as some make out, but it was just boring. The hotrod bikers were pretty pathetic. But what made it seem worse is the two best episodes of that show were the ones where Boba Fett was not in the episodes. Putting Mando 2.5 in there with Luke Skywalker, Asoka, and Grogu took away from Boba Fett.

I agree with this assessment entirely.

And Katie Sackoff still looks finer than frog hair.

I wish they could get Tricia Helfer into the Mandoverse. That would do my poor, BSG-loving heart some good if she were part of the SW lore, too.

Go with her darker natural hair w/ auburn highlights and make her Mara Jade.

Same. My kids actually liked it as much as the mandalorian as they loved the rancor from the original trilogy. That last episode was fun as hell.

Second to the Mando/Asoka/Luke storylines was Fett's flashbacks of joining the Tusken clan after he escaped from the Sarlacc. The train heist episode was intense.

Did anyone else think the opening scene was a flashback of Mando getting his helmet?

That was what I first thought as well
