Just got out and my conclusion is you losers are spoiled and can’t enjoy shite anymore. Was that the best Star Wars movie ever? No. Did it have some faults? Sure. Was it a fun time? Hell yes

Yes it was fun. I liked it for the most part. I just said it felt like a season of the tv show. Ever 30 minutes or so the scene felt like an episode ending.
I would recommend seeing it that said. There are fan made AI movies coming out with better stories.

Just saw the monsters Mando fought were all the chess pieces from the original movie. ..

Dejerik match is what Mando called it.

So tired of the 3-4 posters who hate on movies they will never see yet waste more time in the Threads on them then they actually would watching the movie.

I give it a 7/10. It was enjoyable. The first half of the movie is better than the second half, the pacing is bad (especially in the second half, which is weird because the first half is awesome. First half felt better than Solo while the second half dragged bad until the last 15 minutes or so), and the movie really doesn’t trust its audience at all (it seems to go out of its way to explain stuff rather than just let forshadowing do its thing). It tells when it could just show. It also frequently puts cuteness in the foreground frequently enough that it feels like jingling keys in front of a baby. A lot of this extra cuteness and exposition felt added on in post, like the studio saw test screenings and said “brainrotted kids are too stupid to get that without help” or “add a cute thing here to get attention”. It’s the movie equivalent of yellow paint in a video game. With that said, despite its flaws, it’s still entertaining. Great action set pieces, cool worlds that feel lived in, the plot is interesting enough, and It’s a self-contained adventure outside a few cameos by familiar Feloni verse characters. The first half is classic early season Mando. It’s like John Wick meets Thor: Ragnarok but less quippy. The second half felt more like an above average Star Wars Rebels arc. I had fun and felt like I got my money’s worth.

This too. Was a little too cute at times but the kids in the audience seemed to enjoy that. It was a fun one-off, which is all it tries to do. Not everything has to move a 20 movie plot forward or be Schindler's List or something

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Way more like season 1 or 2 than 3 so it was nice to see it be fun again. Definitely worth seeing for fans of the series.

Haha that's pretty extreme

You’ve never enjoyed a movie you took your kids to?

Good kids movies have appeal for the adults as well.
—-Like The Sheep Detectives. Fine family movie

See it earlier today. Breaking news: we as a society have a real problem with social media brainwashing.

I grew up loving Star Wars. My absolute favorite. I hated the sequel trilogy. Last Jedi made me real life sad.

This Mando and Grogu movie was a great time. It was a season of the show condensed into one movie but that’s not a bad thing. Classic summer blockbuster, and I had a great time. Some heartwarming moments between Din and Grogu. Worth my $40 this afternoon.

You guys are tilting at windmills, man

Who is this enemy you are fighting back at by enjoying a movie?

Not trying to pick on you, but you are the 3rd person to make a post acting like his enjoyment of the film is a middle finger to. . .somebody?

Your most recent example is from 1985

I am not contending with what the other guy said, but your examples actually work in HIS favor. . .

Don’t forget the Clone Wars movie, which coincidentally was also four episodes of a tv show stitched together and included a plot to rescue Rotta the Hutt. I cracked up when they showed his baby picture in this one. Not only did Lucas allow it, it was his idea to make it a movie. There goes that theory, I guess.

Back to the topic of the thread, I just got out and thought it was pretty good. I can’t help but laugh at the Anzellans and their tiny ship. Could have used some connection to the Thrawn plot and I don’t believe for a second that Ezra wouldn’t be flying around with Zeb. The best part was the techno version of the Mando theme. Ludwig could have phoned this one in, but he killed it as always.
