And it's a good thing. Now that the Bitch is gone from Lucasfilm, perhaps the new studio heads can pivot away from her "vision" and start to make content that the fandom wants.

See Filoni’s speech at that women’s conference. And they just made this bomb.

Filoni doesn’t know what he’s doing with live action, he’s a cartoon guy

Well Favreau is quitting but you have to get rid of Feloni, Brennan and Hidalgo. Unless you do that nothing will change.

I'm not really sold on Filoni. He hasn't exactly been killing it with his choices either

Please point out where I've disputed that. TIA

Nothing will change anyways. Disney would have to sell the entire IP and the next ones to own the IP would have to not be progressive lunatics.

Plunging 69% in 2nd wknd was #TheMandalorianAndGrogu with $25M pushing 10-day domestic #boxoffice to only $137.4M. This new #StarWars entry might finish BELOW $200M!

Performance is below Solo which dropped 65% in 2nd wknd to $29.4M with $149M cume.

Global is just $246.6M on Mando which may end up being lowest grossing Star Wars movie of modern era!

I avoided all spoilers and all reviews to go in knowing nothing about this movie. I went a see this afternoon. It was cute enough but these two reviews sum up exactly what I felt leaving.

The movie very much felt like two mando episodes put on the big screen. I liked it but I have nothing really good to say about it. Embo was badass. Grogu is exactly where the show left him, he hasn’t advanced at all. I’m not a Pedro pascal fan but mando’s fight scenes were the highlight. Weaver felt so out of place in this movie like they brought her in just to have some type of homage name for Alien.

Just saw it. Well said. I was entertained.

Having said that, I have no idea what Disney was thinking making this movie. This may have had a chance when Mando was at its peak.

It seems like they could’ve cut the budget in some places and just sent this thing directly to Disney+.

You keep talking about Proximo and Madking like they don't exist, you're going to hurt their feelings.

Look at the threads I started on Mando.

They were Hollywood reporter, variety and New York Times articles with factual information about the movie

Does the truth upset you this much?

This is his first time out from under KK. Maybe this is his moment, and he turns it all around.

He has the love for the franchise

Does he have the balls to do what needs to be done? That is what I need to see.

I just think he shoulda stayed in his role. Maul was really good. His cameo in mando was awful.

… there was a chance that the movie with perhaps the worst, most unimaginative title in the history of cinema, might rally in its second week in theaters and make a liar out of me. But all this week did was prove my premise was more true than I realized. Star Wars is deader than I thought.
Barstool Sports.

Haha. The fact that Obsession is kicking its arse might be good for movies in general. We don't need a big budget CGI fest with shite writing. Worst performing Star Wars movie ever and they had a little toy marketing angle too:
