Well, not "lost" per se, but what Disney movies do you remember that don't get much love?

A few that I definitely watched a lot as a kid:
The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes
The Black Hole (absurdly dark for a Disney movie)
The Three Caballeros
Return to Oz
The Black Cauldron

Also, when trying to look these up, I had no idea just how many movies Disney made. I could have sworn I'd seen at least half of their movies, but... no.

I stopped right before The Little Mermaid because the site I am using for reference also includes movies that Disney picked up (like Touchstone), technically making things like Gross Anatomy part of the Disney movie collection. Then gets more absurd with the addition of Marvel and Star Wars.

Seems like no one ever knows Black Cauldron. The books were great. I wish they would do a live action of the books.

Used to love Midnight Madness when I was a kid. It was always on TV. Just remember it was about trying to solve puzzles on a scavenger hunt and included a young Michael J. Fox. Don't remember much else...hadn't seen it in years.

Glad it wasn't just me.

That movie was incredibly sad (the older robot who dies), fricked up (the guy getting murdered, the revelation of what happened to the old crew), and with a fairly dark ending for part of it... and still with a PG rating.

Disney has been too afraid to re-release Song of The South for decades and may never do so which is a shame. I was fortunate enough to see it in the theaters when I was a child. Disney would cycle their animated features into the theaters about every 7 years or so to allow a new generation to enjoy these classics.

Fortunately I have an old copy I purchased online on VHS in the 90's

The Brave Little Toaster for whatever reason is not on Disney+ They have the dumb sequels, like BLT "rides again" and even the BLT "goes to space", but not the original. I enjoyed it a bunch as a kid, and would love for my kids to watch it. I wont let the kids watch the shitty sequels. Also, I can't seem to locate the movie on any other streaming service.

I remember going to see The Strongest Man in the World (with Kurt Russell) in 1975.

I wouldn't mind seeing that again, even though I don't really remember the plot, just scenes of superhuman strength that fascinated me as a 7 y/o. I wonder how it holds up.

The Black Cauldron is great, but I think the Sword in the Stone was better and it is a greater travesty that it doesn't get more love.
