Citing Tolkien's actual words are not valid citation?
But your citation-less screeches and assertions on TigerDroppings somehow are?
Heres another one for you, or is Christopher Tolkien not enough of an authority?
Now I'm sure you arent about to tell me you dont have a copy of The Unfinished Tales readily at hand given your obnoxious confidence in aggressively telling everyone that you know this character better than anyone else or that dares challenge your screeching and howling that somehow Galadrial as a character was some immutable and set character in this world. When it seems Christopher Tolkien himself makes clear that Galadrial and her character and role was ever evolving, sometimes to the point of contradiction, up until Tolkien's death. Which means there is no "right" interpretation, and the gaps in the timeline and the vagueary and shifts in her character history allows space for all manner or interpretations.

quote:
[T]here is no part of the history of Middle-earth more full of problems than the story of Galadriel and Celeborn, and it must be admitted that there are severe inconsistencies 'embedded in the traditions'; or, to look at the matter from another point of view, that the role and importance of Galadriel only emerged slowly, and that her story underwent continual refashionings.2
quote:
This section of the book differs from the others (save those in Part Four) in that there is here no single text but rather an essay incorporating citations. This treatment was enforced by the nature of the materials; as is made clear in the course of the essay, a history of Galadriel can only be a history of my father's changing conceptions, and the "unfinished" nature of the tale is not in this case that of a particular piece of writing.
The history of Galadriel and Celeborn is so interwoven with other legends and histories - of Lothlórien and the Silvan Elves, of Amroth and Nimrodel, of Celebrimbor and the making of the Rings of Power, of the war against Sauron and the Númenórean intervention - that it cannot be treated in isolation, and thus this section of the book, together with its five Appendices, brings together virtually all the unpublished materials for the history of the Second Age in Middle-earth (and the discussion in places inevitably extends into the Third). It is said in the Tale of Years given in Appendix B to The Lord of the Rings: "Those were the dark years for Men of Middle-earth, but the years of the glory of Númenor. Of events in Middle-earth the records are few and brief, and their dates are often uncertain." But even that little surviving from the "dark years" changed as my father's contemplation of it grew and changed; and I have made no attempt to smooth away inconsistency, but rather exhibited it and drawn attention to it.

I see that you still don’t understand what the word “citation “ means.
It doesn’t mean putting in quotes or typing in bold face.

I see you are unable to read. This isn't 8th grade English, even if that is the furthest you got, the quotes are pulled directly from The Unfinished Tales compiled and edited by Christopher Tolkien.
But again, I thought you were perfectly familar in all things Galadrial? How are you not immediately aware of these facts? And earlier, seemingly spoke as if ignorant to them. For how can such a thing be from such a Galadrial scholar such as yourself??

Tolkien wrote that she lead an army.
Tolkien wrote that she “fought”
How she did that in the 1st and 2nd Age is up for interpretation.
Lets say that is correct, it does not change the fact that she is way to OP and the show is boring.

'unfinished' tales, you say?
Huh.
Still doesn't provide context, page #, like any proper citation would have.
Of course, the world evolves as the author, any author, adds and subtracts ideas which work best... it's the process.
Between the known lore and the 'unfinished' tales or ambiguous plots and characters as well as the clownish and nonsensical inserts, this show is an unmitigated disaster.

Having read the hobbit and the LOTR books, I’m still enjoying the show. Once you just sit back and enjoy the show, you’ll find more happiness in life.

And Strider is a Hobbit named Trotter, so what? Tolkien wrote a lot of stuff that what published by CT that was discarded and only provided by CT for academic purposes, namely the writing and development of the Hobbit, LOTR and the Silmarillion.
