Now, had Tolkien wanted to make that a part of his lore, and took the time to explain how this could happen, by all means, he COULD have.
But he didn't. So, there are no elves, hobbits or dwarves of color.

How funny is it that Amazon did exactly what we said they would do 6 months ago when everything was being leaked that they were deciding to change the story and become woke with tolkien work.
They played their hand at the perfect time. Maybe with another fanbase who is afraid of these pussies might bend the knee but they fricked with the wrong people.

Watched the first two episodes. Enjoyed the hell out of them. Read The Hobbit and the Lord of The Rings.
Who gives a shite whether there are black elves or dwarves. Doesn't affect my enjoyment one bit. Oh, I know who gives a shite, a racist internet dweeb. You guys are making arguments about skin color in a world with dragons, magic rings, and wizards. Give me a break.

And if it was in fact an allegory for Europe, then Tolkien wouldn’t have said it’s not an allegory.
And like Tolkien said, he prefers the freedom of the reader to something dedicated to the power of the Author. You’re argument is predicated in the latter.
