It was pretty anticlimactic. There was no exchange between Bran and the NK, and she just swoops in at the last second and ends the war. NK didn’t really fight anyone, neither did the WW’s. It was lame.

when will you understand that there's a difference in something being "unexpected" that maintains the laws/themes of the story that have been built for the past 7 seasons instead of just throwing in shite for the sake of it?

It did the unexpected in creative and well written ways, now it’s just doing unexpected things just to do them because they unfortunately have no material to work with. It all falls on the fat man for not putting it out there.

she suddenly appears like peter pan after getting past 1000 wights and every WW without anyone even noticing.
the night king is in the middle of grabbing his sword as she screams and comes at him like a spider monkey. but he's quick enough to turn, catch her by the throat and killing arm from a few feet away. Arya drops the knife and knowing that the NK has super fast reflexes as we just saw, he just casually watches it fall waiting to be caught in her out stretched hand.
y'all are actually defending michael bay & zack snyder level of story telling here
next episode we'll find out that cerseis mothers name and jons mothers name were actually Martha and then they team up and kill Dany. so unexpected!!!!!!
