Why can't every episode of GoT have the run times that this show has? 71 minutes, then E2 that I'm now starting is 57 minutes. With the exception of the finale in S4 most of the episodes were 50 minutes.

I'll maybe check back in in a month or two if people are digging it. I'm not one just to watch a show because it's on HBO.
It' boring, and slow to setup.

Just going to wait, not really caring what happens next.
It's sad when I'm watching a show and I can't wait for it to be over.
I wanted to love it too. I like the idea of "left behind" from the perspective of those who aren't really true believers.

This is depressing to me.
i really knew nothing about this until last night when i started watching the first 2 eps and reading about the book (didn't even know there was a book until this thread).
I was really hoping that HBO would turn this show into a Book of Revelation esque series. I think it could be awesome to see a rapture/antichrist/end of times series that doesn't star Kirk Cameron.
knowing now that theyre going to just drop us in and lift us out without really knowing much of anything just kinda sucks.
question though. Is the Leftovers a book series or is it only one book as of right now?
What will HBO do after this season? probably stretch one book into 2-3 seasons and pressure the writer to finish a second book? Make up their own shite?

maybe they'll turn it into an anthology-esque series and show a different group of people from a different area?
i don't see how they could have enough to continue with these characters for multiple seasons

I see this show going two ways.
1. People get sick of it for not explaining shite and quit watching it.
2. People get blindly hooked but they never explain shite and have about 20 storylines you have to keep up with. And then it gets cancelled before anything ever gets resolved.

Agreed. I'll continue to watch it because there's nothing else on but I'm confused on a lot of it.
