Not sure it is good when the main character of your show is someone that the audience wishes would get killed. She’s a know it all kid that thinks the rules don’t apply to her. I’m pulling for her death but knowing it won’t come

Spunky precocious lesbian girl hear me roar watch me take down this man twice my size girl.
I too was hoping she would get offed going into that abandoned store.
HBO just can't help themselves.
Why were people like Linda Hamilton more believable?

Bella Ramsey could quite possibly be one of the worst casting choices when provided with source material in the history of recording professional pretenders
cashing in on that 15 minutes from Game of Thrones. I was thinking tonight: I hope she's saving her money.

And casting the person who should've (and wanted the role) been Ellie as Abby.

Cool. Then no reason for y’all to keep watching and bitching in these threads.
Meh. I might hate-watch it and still bitch in these threads. Probably won't provide the fodder that Yellowstone did. But we're talking about HBO, who used to produce great shows.
Maybe Hacks will be ok. We'll always have Sopranos, BoB, Chernobyl, etc.

I was telling my wife that I hope ellie fricking dies this episode! She really is terrible

I’m not sure who’s more annoying, the teenagers from season one of white lotus or these two chicks. 40 minutes in and they both deserve to die for being so stupid.

Solid start to the season. I actually really liked the Dina character. I think Merced is a very good actress and far superior to Ramsey. Bella's Ellie was kind of meh this episode

Ellie doesn’t have a single redeeming quality
She’s not even that brave. Acting like a badass when she’s immune to infection.

I remember being insanely hyped for season 1 and blown away by the opening scene, only to find that nothing afterward really stuck with me. I liked Bella Ramsey as Lyanna Mormont, but she came off more like a bratty teenager than someone genuinely likable as Ellie.
So far, this show feels like something I’ll end up tuning out of rather than getting drawn into. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the investment and quality of Severance, but I have to imagine HBO intended this to be their next big anchor show and threw a ton of resources at it—yet it still falls flat by comparison.

Yeah. She has uncanny valley going on but the main thing is she doesn't seem like a sympathetic character, whereas Ellie was.

Ellie might be one of the most miserable characters of all time.

Season one focused mostly on two story lines that were REALLY minor in the game, one in trying to be woke, if this season goes the same way I won't finish it.

This doesnt make sense. One episode out of 8 does not make something a major focus of the entire season. It makes it a minor subplot.
Maybe it felt bigger because you made it feel that way.

Over 10% of the show is a subplot when it was a blip in the main game. v

I feel like this might be the most unbelievable relationship in the history of HBO's original programming:
You have an arguable O-T 10 dancing with a chick who looks like a foot.
I get it's a zombie apocalypse and pickings are slim, but damn...
