Seems like avoiding major cities like KC would have been an obvious strategy.

But a poor video game, so I’m guessing something similar happened in the game?

Yeah but it make a bit more sense in the game a little bit because Pittsburgh isn’t alll that far from
Boston. There’s so many cities in the NE your going to have to hit multiple ones at some point

From the game, I remember the magazine joke, truck crash ambush, and Joel getting attacked to where Ellie had to save him, but I don’t remember the Kathleen chick.

Was she in the game?

Bossy hunter lady was Rose from 2 & 1/2 Men. She wasn't in the game. Hunters were just an unknown commodity; all we knew were they overthrew FEDRA and took over the QZ.

Enjoyed E4. Feels a little rushed, though. Weird since it kind of felt like a slow episode. I can't help but compare story beats of the game and show.

Sam being deaf and even younger means that scene is going to be absolutely brutal to watch

Finally seeing the light hearted side of Ellie and it was refreshing.

I think you’re right about Henry and Sam as well. I think we will get a pretty flashback-heavy episode next week about what went down in the Kansas City QZ, with the KC story coming to an end the following week.

Except for the ridiculousness of placing a woman in charge of them. The game did this sort of thing as well and it's just so utterly laughable. There is no way a hell that in any world reduced to such utter brutality that men would allow themselves to be ordered around by this soft-spoken woman. It doesn't matter how ruthless a woman becomes in that world. You are never going to get a large group of men to place their trust in a woman when the need to kill at a moment's notice is a frequent occurrence. They may as well devise a plot in which a woman strolls into Angola and becomes top dog. Extreme situations like this very starkly demarcate the roles of men and women.

Still a good episode overall and I'm hopeful that they got fudge packing plots out of their system.
