Or, maybe he prefers a rifle with more stopping power. In episode 2, it took two shots to the head from an AR-15 to drop a Clicker.
Where he was going, he was more worried about people than the infected. The AR-15 is better for those situations.

Have you not played a video game before? You always start with the crappy guns.

I watched it last night and I thought it was pretty solid. Ellie as a character is growing on me a bit, but Joel is carrying the series right now. Very harsh world, Joel just killed that dude while screaming for his momma and life. The one thing I did not understand is why did he drive them into that city, that was just dumb. He saw it was clear, it was an interchange, just circle around it by jumping some streets. My only gripe, but our main characters need to make some dumb decisions to keep the story going, cannot have a series of the two of them in a truck talking.

Now, I do think it’s odd to have Melanie Lynskey in that role since she typically plays very sweet, soft characters.
I mean, she's the baby in a bar lady

For the life of me, I cannot understand why book readers were simply INCAPABLE of NOT posting in the Hodor thread ... or why game players seem to be INCAPABLE of not posting in this thread.
"Oh, oh, oh, I wonder whether we will finally meet Henry this episode" is pretty innocuous, but it CLEARLY indicates a game player, and that player is CLEARLY discussing future events that a show-only person DOES NOT KNOW.

I'm not sure how that can be considered a spoiler when they showed them together in multiple scenes in the preview for next week.

If you’ve played the game just use the other thread.

I can't tell you how bad I wanted to post in those Hodor threads. I'd read it and just laugh. But, it was pretty easy not to post in it given there was a maesters thread sitting on the first page with just as much conversation going on.

I don't have a problem in the world with a Hodor participating on the Maester thread. If you don't mind the spoilers, have at it.
But as a TLOU "Hodor," I do not want some fungus-brained "Maester" ruining the story for me, even if it IS only posting about wanting to see some character who has not yet made an appearance on the screen.

may need to change thread titles to no game discussion.
even non-spoiler game discussion is out of place here.
either way people just can't help themselves even when they already have a thread for game talk.

People making questionable choices is the most realistic part of the show.
Or trying to meet up with loved ones at a huge public place they they have set as a marker if communication is down

Umm, that’s exactly what Bill did in episode 3. Plus, he just turned a valve to make sure he had free gas for 20 years. In any event, people on this board said it was the greatest episode in television history so that must be the way any of the situations could be handled.

This "apocalypse" is a unique one though, not like we are really used to in such situations. I feel like there would have been more raiders over the years though.

I can see a situation where the army/FEDRA has cleared the interstates but there's a far greater chance of blocked roads if you take the backroads. After all one of the reasons for the interstate system is rapid movement of troops/equipment across the country. So you are pretty much constrained to the interstate if you don't want to risk having to get out and hike. Also, taking the interstate necessarily means you have to work through large cities.

If we’re getting into the nitty gritty my biggest complaint is an expert prepper/survivalist would have a much more robust vehicle than a 2WD S-10

Unless they have loops. BR will be a big raider city for the US.
