He knew it was blocked for a reason. Why not backtrack instead of pushing foreword?
My thought was that it had been intentionally blocked as well, but that didn’t make sense when you see all the old cars backed up right before the tunnel and then the tunnel itself is clear.
That made it seem to me that it was a legit accident that had blocked up the tunnel years ago and was never unplugged because of the zombies etc.
Plus, he seemed convinced that there was a quick way around, but they just happened to have gotten lost because she had trouble reading the map. They only ran into the attackers because they got lost.
Also, it’s interesting that the group in KC were confident that they could traverse the city and break into buildings without running into infected. Clearly it’s somehow related to whatever seemed to be breaking out of the floor near the end of the show. Interested to see how that plays out.

Just the way it was completely wedged in there sideways made it seem fishy but I could be misremembering it.

I figured it was formerly a qz zone and they had taken can of it but now the fungus was coming underground. Can’t wait for next week’s episode.
Joel and her have some great chemistry going right now.

I'll watch tomorrow. Hopefully no carpet munching or cocksucking.

I *literally* quoted something that had already been said twice.
But yeah, I couldn't have seen the show through hair like you UGA fairies have either.

Your jealousy and sense of inadequacy is duly noted. I know it’s a transition period for LSU fans. Used to just being whipped by Bama to now the SEC East and Texas A and M beating them, but I’m sure You’ll adapt

In a major city there on on/off ramps out the arse. It was a calculated risk and one probably worth taking considering how far they would have had to back track to catch another highway (as has been already stated likely only major roadways remain clear).
The biggest mistake was not mapping the route before getting off the highway and knowing exactly where they needed to go.

100% agree. Won't light a fire but rampages through a big city.

I'm still in the middle of watching the episode but one comment I'd like to make is how absolutely fricking absurd the results are when modern entertainment insists on sticking to their "representation" agenda. There is no way in hell that a world reduced to such utter brutality would find a woman in a position to order around men. It would violate every instinct in men who could no longer rely on the rule of law to protect them and this would be especially true of the particular type of men to have survived in that world. Watching this soft-spoken woman walk around giving orders is just utterly laughable. They may as well devise a plot in which a woman strolls into Angola prison and becomes top dog. They're just so uncomfortable with the fundamental differences in the nature of men and women and the way in which these differences are pronounced in extreme situations.

Would really love to know more about that. Based on their reaction they seem to know what it is. Guess we'll find out in the coming weeks!

there were ancient civilizations ruled by women. Also your whole argument makes no sense. No leader has to convince every single person to follow them. she just had to convince this 1 guy and he keeps the rest in line.

This is not civilization. It's the wake of its complete destruction.
Political leaders cannot be made analogous to situations in which all structure has been lost. Where there exists sufficient structure, the criteria for roles of leadership can be assessed independent of those of warriors. When structure is lost, warriors become the leaders and all power is based on your ability to deliver force unflinchingly. History is pretty bereft of effective female warriors and men understand that their fundamental nature is not one in which extreme violence can be readily accessed. Female aggressiveness takes different forms and men know this too.

Did we see any Fedra soldiers? Could they have put the survivors underground and they got infected?

If she orchestrated and executed the plan that freed them? Sure they would. History has plenty of examples of men following successful women.

But they were within structure and rebelled from it, which means your argument isn't effective, even if we assume this to be true.
Feel free to pound your chest while you type your response, you alpha.

I'm thinking this the whole time. If I'm driving I'm avoiding cities and looking for state highways around them.
Though getting from Boston To Kansas City without services is pretty remarkable. I never played the game but I think they only drove to an east coast city before having to walk.

Didn't catch that either. Though they were on I170.
I80 is what GPS now says to use. But that hits Chicago. Maybe they were avoiding Ohio and Illinois for some reason.

I think it’s plausible that a woman would become the leader but she was horribly cast. The lady last night was mousy and didn’t exude any confidence or leadership. She wasn’t believable at all.
The actress that played Tess would have been way better.
She also seemed very stupid for killing the doctor.

If you drive from Boston to Wyoming you should stay on I-80 from Penn. all the way to Cheyenne. Going to KC is way out of the way.
At one point I believe she mentioned taking 76 to 70, and that they'd stay on that road for a long time.
If they took 76 to 70 they went through Columbus, Indianapolis, and St. Louis

I have no problem with a woman being a leader, but that Karen isn't convincing anyone that she would be an actual leader

Either terrible writing from the game/show, or a very questionable casting of that character.

A doctor, especially an OB with knowledge of surgeries and the like, would be worth ten times their weight in gold in a situation like that. Her killing him is akin to her taking a shite in their water supply. I get that there is some drama there but you have to work past it for the greater good of the community. That act alone is worthy of someone putting a bullet through her head for sheer stupidity.
