I think Carol will become the new Tandy of the group now that they think Tandy is dead. Previously, Carol looked normal compared to Tandy, but now she will be exposed. So I expect her to be similarly driven away from the group.
I don't think black Phil can stomach losing Carol to Tandy, so I think that's why he burned Tandy's house and why It isn't safe for Tandy in Malibu. We theorized last season that Black Phil might have killed another group or survivors or been driven out by them. He seems like a ticking time bomb.

Yeah, I'm really hoping the worst for Black Phil. He's a terrible character, and I really hope he has some awful backstory that allows Tandy Man Phil to get some redemption. That's what I was saying on the previous page or two about how I hope things seem great, but are really terrible and Phil gets to save the day/group from Black Phil.
We already see in the previews that BP makes a run at Carol on the beach.

anyone watch last night?
It was kinda cringeworthy the way he was reintroduced to the group, but I guess if he came in and apologized and everyone was happy again it wouldn't really make good for the show. Even though he's currently bein gpunished at least it seems like people aren't necessarily hateful twoards him, more of just like a "ok you messed up, so we have no choice but to do this" kind of thing.
Interested to see how the group moves forward now with the whole crew back together.

At first, I hated the whole "apology at gunpoint" angle, but it definitely makes more sense within the framework of the show. And I love how as soon as Carol says they were about to give him a second chance, he relaxes and thinks everything is fine. 
Also really loved the black chick throwing shade on Carol the whole episode. That was hilarious.

this. I'm loving this show more and more. Especially because not everything "works out". Quite the opposite in fact. And the group is unstable as hell right now. Two relationships just ended and there's no affirmative proof that Todd and Melissa are happy together. Tandy and Carol might have the most functional happy relationship in the show while the rest of the group gets jealous and resentful. That'd be funny. And what is going to happen with Sudekis?

Compared to episode 2, I thought this last one was pretty bad. Episode 2 was great, and I got a big smile on my face when I saw the message on the train. This episode just didn't hit for me. Oddly enough, my favorite part was the awkward apology at gunpoint.
Does anyone else get pissed when Todd shits all over Tandy? Last season, Todd was turning into Tandy. He hated Black Phil and was almost ready to kill him, too. I can understand being upset that he thought about leaving him in the desert, but he didn't. On the other hand, Black Phil literally left Tandy in the desert to die. Screw Todd.

I'm really hoping they either leave or they kill black Phil. He's dangerous and he's obviously after Carol, and this time Carol isn't into him and Tandy is protective of Carol.
I agree that the who would be better with Carol and Tandy just going accross the USA and having guest stars in groups they meet for a couple episodes and move on.
The group dynamic was interesting to explore last year and the season ended well. I hope they don't just repeat the story line this year. They need to be gone within the next 2 episodes or something drastic has to happen.
Carol and Tandy were absolutely perfectly cast for this show individually and they have a great chemistry. I'd hate to see that potential wasted on shoe horning the rest of the group in.

he had a couple funny quotes during his big apology speech at the end. I think my favorite was talking to BP and said "I know this is probably gonna freak your bean" lol

That end scene pissed me off so goddamn much. I know it was supposed to be funny but it's everything that pisses me off about this show.
