It’s Illumination. They’re the worst animation company really ever and cut every corner both narratively and animation wise they can. They really, really suck.

I mean two years ago they made Sing and the Secret Life of Pets... no question they got overly drunk on a writer’s retreat and then submitted Toy Story with pets and then American Idol with animals at the last second. Sing looks particularly bad since Zootopia was released the same year. Was there a single good animal pun or use animals to their advantage in that movie? Zootopia it was every other second when they were doing this, and the film was great as a result. Sing... that takes effort, so frick it. I can’t think of a single one in that movie. There’s no reason why that movie shouldn’t have just had humans starring, and they simply used it to have cheap feelings. Plus they use tons of multiples. It’s such a shitty studio.

Why do we need this movie? Because Overrated Benedict needs a paycheck?

These are the same guys that just started work on the Mario movie. Disappointing choice, to say the least.

My son (4) is obsessed with Jim Carey's Grinch (it's on netflix) Hopefully this can distract him enough because anytime he ends up with the remote if I'm not home, I come home to Jim Carey's grinch, (and it's actually done pretty well)
