When Barry goes back in time he inadvertently creates Savitar. I’m thinking that In Savitar’s reality, Iris is no longer alive similar to Cisco no longer having a brother. Savitar has gone back into time to take Iris from current Barry because is responsible for Savitar’s loss. He also may be trying to reset the original timeline. Savitar talks about current Barry’s selfishness, in order to save her in all timelines, he must be willing to let her die.

I didn't notice any previews for next week but I foresee a Savitar origin story which could clear some of this up.

Then why are they still fighting? That makes no sense. Their mothers have the same first, middle, and last names. That should resolve the conflict.

There's really no sense of urgency heading into the season finale at all. Why the frick are they re-introducing King Shark and Snart so close to the end of the season?
