I don't disagree with you. My point was simple. A story can be built from it. It was bad, didn't make sense, and could have been a lot better. It was a cheap out.

End happy (kind of) but gimmicky.

Thawne returns episode 1 and causes havoc. Wells/Cisco blast him with speed bazooka. In goes Thawne out comes Barry. Last remnant of flashpoint taken care of and new season kicks off.
