What spoiler?
Trying to figure that out as well.
that the president turns his back on Captain America at some point in the movie
"You may be Captain America, but you're not Steve Rogers."

Ironman
Antman
Hawkeye
Black Widow
Black Panther
Punisher
All just regular people with special equipment. In DC there is dozens of superheroes who are just regular people with special equipment; Batman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern etc.
Complaining about the lack of powers should be so far down the list of possible screwups with this movie, that I'm honestly shocked how many people are bringing it up.

The “spoiler” is the Red Hulk reveal at the very end

Ironman - He's a genius. Smartest tech guy in the world.
Hawkeye - Was basically born with a special ability to hit targets.
Black Widow - yes, normal person trained to be a spy. Hence, her movie BOMBED.
Black Panther - a LEADER and got something similar to a serum. Trained fighter.
Punisher - Special ops guy. Story starts with him "punishing" those that killed his family.
Hawkeye, Black Widow and Punisher wouldn't stand a chance against Red Hulk.
I never said there was anything wrong with "norma' hero's. But a normal Captain America SUCKS
What makes this Captain America special?

They don't HAVE TO.
But then what makes them a superhero? The fact that they have something special about them that is beyond the normal human.
Cap took a chance taking the serum bc he wanted to save his country.

ony with his crazy suit couldn't really take hulk. But Sam, no serum, and some wings are goign to take red hulk?
Red Hulk = Harrison Ford, who is 81 years old. He'll be just be an angry hulk yelling at clouds and telling kids to stay off his lawn. Then it's dinner at Piccadilly by 4pm, and naptime. It's a breeze.

to be fair, it wasn't awful and made $90mm in profit all while Disney released it on streaming at the same time.
i'm normally not all up in arms about a millionaire liberal actress getting screwed but Disney, actually f'd her over IMHO.

sounds like something Taika would write.

Iron Man's suit is a super power. There are other super heroes given powers by objects.
Antman can become so big he can stomp hulk, or crawl inside him and do damage.
Hawkeye is lame, but he's always got an arrow for everything.
Black Widow is lame, maybe the most pointless of all.
Black Panther is like Captain American and Iron Man combined, he is most certainly a Super Hero.
Punisher lives in a different universe and mostly fights humans, not intergalactic beings. He is a trained killer.
Falcon - a skinny medic with wings, guns, and goggles. It just doesn't make sense. I am using the wookie defense here.

Man you guys love to shite on things based just on a trailer.
It's like there's no possibility that he could get new or different suits over the course of the movie.
Anyway, if you watch the trailer with subtitles, the voice saying "Global power is shifting" is Samuel Sterns.
The Leader confirmed.

If you think steroids is what made Steve Rodgers special, than you badly missed the point of Captain America.
He didn't lift Mjölnir because he was a strong character. He lifted because his character was strong. There is a big difference.
Sam Wilson has proven himself across several movies whether people want to admit it or not. He served his country in the Air Force and completed special missions using dangerous tech to save the lives of those behind enemy lines. He worked with veterans after his time in service through support groups (which by the way they showed influenced Steve Rodgers who led support groups as well during the blip). Despite all the dangers he never refused to help Steve or Bucky.
That's what makes him special.
Powers in comics are just there as plot devices to have cool action scenes. The individual characters is what makes them a success or not. Superman is a great hero not because of his god-like powers but because of his farm raised attitude.

That's not what I said or every inferred. Of course his character is what made him captain america.
I can watch a punisher or daredeval movie bc I know he's dealing with enemies on his level.
All we are getting with this is a Captain America with an iron man suit (again, that he didn't make). Boring.

Of course, in real life that is absolutely special an amazing. But this is a movie.
They could at least do something to the affect of "part of the reason Cap gave him the mantle was becuase they have the same characteristics and Cap knew the "serum" would have the same affect on Falcon." something like that. Give me a damn super hero.
But this is also the reason Marvel has fallen. All those dumb TV shows and most of the new movies give people no inspiration. Nothing really special.
Boring and WOKE. Nothing special.

Sam Wilson could never stand up to Thanos, even if he had Mjölnir at his side, and he certainly couldn't do anything without it (like we saw in IW)
That would have crushed Sam

well in fairness, it would not be his 1st rodeo turning into something else - i mean he did turn into a Were-Hyena in Anchorman 2

You are correct there, although I did a rewatch on Falcon and Winter Soldier and all the parts that didn't involve the Flag Smashers was actually pretty good. It's so painfully obvious when the writers had to pivot because of COVID that they were clueless and fell so flat on their face that it really made the show hard to watch despite all the good.
And as far as the villain of the movie goes, it's the Leader, not Red Hulk. If I had to use my magic crystal ball, I would guess that Cap and Hulk come into conflict in the 2nd act with Cap taking the L before they team up to defeat the Leader in the 3rd act. I've seen enough movies to be fairly confident that is the case.
Posted on 7/12/24 at 3:38 pm to SlowFlowPro
Spoiler alert, Cap got his arse kicked by Thanos as well, even with Mjölnir. And what was the really cool moment in Endgame? Wasn't Cap suddenly powering up and defeating the bad guys. It was him standing up to fight even when he knew he had no chance to win.
Posted on 7/12/24 at 3:42 pm to ThoseGuys
please be the Leader from back in the Hulk Movie with Norton - would be a hell of a tie in

Wait, do we want to have a real physics discussion in superhero movies about humans flying in suits or even in spaceships? A suit or ship doesn't magically negative what rapid acceleration and deceleration do to the human body. Without "magic" technology like inertial dampers many of our human heroes would be dead after the first battle, no matter what suit they have or what vehicle they are in.
All of those humans that superheroes save from freefalls a few feet before hitting the ground, that's not how it works in real life either.
I'm fine with philosophical discussions on whether Falcon should have the title, but not the silly nit-picking on how the shield works or how flying happens.
