The article really just says they are focusing on each character first without rushing trash stuff out. Basically what marvel did at first. They even said they may come back to it later. It's not like they are scrapping the whole project. Hell aquaman 2 has already been set to come out in 2022.

I actually thought JL was pretty good, relative to the rest of them. BvS was an absolute disaster and is what ultimately wrecked everything

I never thought I'd say its a shame to waste such a good performance in Wonder Woman... but they stepped all over their pecker with the DCEU.
Wonder Woman and Aquaman are both hits and you can give the nod to Margot Robbie running with Harley Quinn. Other then that its been a disastrous couple of movies.

The biggest single mistake they made was trying to rush a universe instead of doing what they are doing now, which is developing films independent of each other then drawing them back together.
Avengers worked by taking several disparate films between Cap, Thor, Hulk, and two Iron Man entries, developing all the players, then putting them all together.
BvS tried to short circuit the process and failed miserably. And those problems carried over to Justice League and Suicide Squad.

I agree. It was a bit too dark and emo for Superman and that stupid fricking filter just screamed "WE DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS CHARACTER" but it wasn't trash.
