Least Superhero show/film of all-time. Such a weird series. I mean no fricking real superhero shite in the entire finale.
This is probably below She-Hulk.

I enjoyed the season but it hit a ceiling midway through and never went past it imo.
I'd Put it below The penguin and peacemaker s1 and above peacemaker s2

Early development? That’s hilarious. It’s not even saying anything. It could be at any stage of the process. Either it’s been green lit or it hasn’t. Saying something is in development is ambiguous in & of itself.

Man. That ending was horrendous. Now I want James Gunn's DC Universe to fail just so this isn't canon.

This says far more than the writers could possibly imagine.
Shut it all down.

Holy crap! Glad I stopped watching after episode white man bad.
If Sinestro had a Glock and the marksmanship prowess if the Sheriff, he could take over the Universe!

Just wanted to thank you all for keeping me from watching this show
Super hero show without super heroes
Bad writing that created unneeded distractions to satisfy some writers woke fantasies
Bad writing that fails its own story’s logic.
Horrible storyline payoffs

'Lanterns’ Co-Creator Officially Answers the Biggest Questions From the Season 1 Finale
quote:
While Lanterns closes the book on John's story before his confirmed return in James Gunn's Superman follow-up, Man of Tomorrow, some questions do remain about his future as Earth's definitive Lantern. To answer those questions and more, Collider's Steve Weintraub had the extraordinary opportunity to speak with Lanterns co-creator Damon Lindelof to discuss the Season 1 finale and its many behind-the-scenes secrets, such as Sinestro's (Ulrich Thomsen) surprising role in the series, whether we could see the Hal hologram again, and John's role in the DCU's future. Check out Weintraub's full interview with Lindelof below:
quote:
Yeah, of course there's a budgetary consideration, but the other consideration is when audiences see materials, whether they're fans, lifelong fans, or they're looking to flirt, their brains basically tell them, "I can relate to this" or "I can't relate to this," and you don't design the story to pander to the audience. But when you see a Superman trailer vs. a Supergirl trailer, your brain basically tells you, even though it's set in Metropolis, this story is taking place on the planet Earth, and when you see a Supergirl trailer, your brain tells you this story is not taking place on the planet Earth. And so we wanted to create the biggest tent that welcomed the greatest number of people without alienating or pissing off the fans, because the Green Lanterns are a universal intergalactic space force, but we get to decide what beat we're focused on, and at least for Season 1, which is the only decision-making that I was involved in, it felt across the board that we should stick to Earth with some limited dalliances to show the audience that the Lanterns were intergalactic.

I can't get over John Stewart saying aks instead of ask. The actor is British so you know he wouldn't say that unless they were specifically telling him to. Why would they do that?

Who was Kerry running from in Gotham when we flashed back in Episode 5? Who do the men in the diner work for?
We've never really gotten into it, so I don't want to say specifically, in case it comes up (later). But (it’s) the criminal underworld in Gotham. We've discussed it a lot, and we would have an answer in about 30 seconds! Because we didn't answer it on screen as a collective, we never said, ‘OK, definitively we're going to say this.’ But we all kind of know.
quote:
Sinestro tells Hal he has the ability to bring him back to life for real. Is that accurate? Or was that a desperate attempt made by someone saying anything they could say to get out of their difficult spot?
I think that's the question, right? Is he literally just saying anything and bluffing to try to save himself or not?
quote:
Because fans spent the entire season saying, ‘Alright, well, they didn't kill off Hal Jordan, right?’ Ultimately, now we know you did. When you ask that of James Gunn, who I'm assuming you have to ask, is there pushback? Is there a sense of, ‘Hey, we're just getting Hal Jordan! Don't take him off the game board.’
Yeah, I mean, those are definitely conversations above my pay grade. Those are super tricky questions. And especially, we went into the season not knowing if anyone was going to watch the show or not. We were hoping. You try your best, and you hope people like it. So I think perceptions of those things probably changed a little bit over the course of a season, too.

1. Kill Hal Jordan for being white
2. Kill him using a fun-size hysterical female cop with no impulse control. Definitely don't let him die making a big sacrifice for others or doing hero stuff.
These people really, really hate this character.

wanted to like this show and was hoping the finale would pay off......but it fell flat, very dull, most had predicted what unfolded, and the best character on the show is unfortunately still dead. It didn't really set the table for anything I'm looking forward to seeing in the future either.
I also have 0 clue why we should fear Manhunters
