Nothing is going to happen until the last 3 episodes. Lindelof has admitted this is how he works his mystery box formula so get ready for nothing to happen.

honestly I expect this for any show. bare minimum action or using powers till the last episode or two.

complete boring slop minus a scene or two and then blow the whole budget on a build up and finale

If you didn't get the "Mogo doesn't socialize" shoutout, find the DC Universe: Stories of Alan Moore trade paperback.

That, and the mention of Manhunters had me barking at the TV.

Don't bother. You're just feeding the trolls. They're dead set on saturating any thread about the show with intentionally obtuse reactions and "gotcha" liberal alarms, turning one phrase into the writers' secret manifesto.

They've hated the show since it was announced

Next weeks episode looks like it'll be centered on John Stewart. I'm sure this place will be sane about it

I liked the first episode more than this one, but still a solid episode. I would like to see a little bit more action

do you even realize why he took those corpses to use?

Also it's like you completely ignore the ring was out of power.

These are stupid responses. It would have taken him all of 5 minutes to do this exact same thing with the ring. Was a pointless waste of time to do this while the ring was out of power. Makes him look like a complete moron.

I like the slow burn. They are dropping just enough bread crumbs to keep me chilling.

I once heard someone say - if fans were allowed to showrun The Walking Dead they would have killed Negan within the first 5 minutes - some of ya'lls comments definitely reinforce this.

This isn't a slow burn. Today we know everything we knew before that episode.

Was definitely liking the Penguin far more after 2 episodes. But if he's correct that things will drastically pick up now, that gets me a bit more excited

Does the ring have the ability to detect alien detectors when it's out of power? How could it have taken him just 5 minutes? I don't know any Green lantern lore so just asking.

The abilities of the ring depends on the writer. It has basic functions, then certain writers expand it to fit their needs. As an example, Hal has made temporary rings for other GLs to use, because it advanced the story.

"Detecting aliens" is something that the comic book ring would probably do to an extent, but Hal made a point of saying that the detectors at the stadium were of technology that was beyond anything he'd ever seen, so I'd think that included the ring's technology.

And it would be a very short series if Hal just had to say, "Ring, find all aliens on Earth, restrain them in power bubbles, and give me their locations."

Pretty good article. The Pitt is doing some serious advertising with the Hollywood Reporter.

Interesting theories, if you're like me and don't know anything about the lore

episode 1 was an 8/10
Ep 2 was a 6/10

My biggest gripe with the show is that John Stewart is so fricking boring. It's like the writers went "hey let's make the lead character the least interesting part of the show"

John Stewart being The Martian Manhunter would be a waste of the series and just confuse comic fans and non-fans.
