Straw man, ignorant to what mystery box is, 3 of those things were in episode 1 and beating your chest about them destroying lore isn’t exactly a win bubb.

Oh yay. 5 minutes of story hidden in 55 minutes of nothing.

That's nonsense. If all you consider story is the resolution, then just wait until the final episode airs and read the Wikipedia summary.

-Key jangling still works on them
- they don’t know what mystery box storytelling is even when the writers they worship tell them exactly what it is.
- don’t care about the lore or characters. Why? No reason at all, best answer you’ll get is “it’s in the show therefore it’s good”
And fine, they’re retards, who cares but I don’t bother them, I talk to posters who actually have opinions but these Bot brained morons will not leave me alone then they bitch about me or you posting. It’s fricking insane, their minds work in reverse, I guess that’s why they like trash.

Not really a big fan of needless profanity and looking at penis. I guess that's what some around here consider "advancing the story."
Oh and Hal visited Sinestro for information. Could have just started with that scene, moved right into episode 3, and still have introduced everything we "learned" in episode 2. This episode could be completely skipped without missing anything.

The writer doesn’t like the character or the comics. He didn’t want to do it, he called GL stupid. He’s trying to ape True Detective and he’s not capable. They have to do something about Gunn asap. I thought they could hold out until May but they’re in a death spiral and have to do something fast.

Are you serious? The coloring books are already out, or were the conversations about aliens & colonization too subtle for you? Did you really need the megaphone in the face to make sure you knew that Mr Militia knows that Stewart banged his 5 of a wife?

You forgot Kerry said she is from Gotham and was most likely talking to Jim Gordon in episode one when she said "Tell Barb i said Hi" and she's probably related to Batwoman Kate Kane

All of this means absolutely nothing.
ETA: My favorite part of this episode is when a guy who has been in possession, for decades at this point, of one of the most powerful tools/weapons in the known universe couldn't figure out a better way to test the "metal detectors" than to carry 3 corpses around in his car. Man, that Hal Jordan is a really smart guy.
Due to the nature of the ring and how it works, Green Lantern is a character that is only as good as the imagination of the writers penning the character. These writers are not instilling confidence that they're up to the task.

Also it's like you completely ignore the ring was out of power.

How else would he have been able to see if an alien set them off?

I have two questions regarding the alien detectors. 1. Why were they installed at the football field to begin with? 2. Why didn't the Sheriff use the alien detector when Hal was questioning the suspect? They could have found out it was an alien immediately instead of Hal going through that whole questioning sequence.
Edit: I guess both of these questions leads me to believe the Sheriff knows all about the alien town invasion and is trying to keep everything hidden from Hal and John.

They've hated the show since it was announced and it kills them that it's popular with this board and the public.

I would imagine John Dutton has different types of detectors all over town, not just the football field. Just a random guess though.
She said she didn't believe he was so she was just letting Hal do his thing. She apologized later. I'm assuming she didn't tell him because she'd be telling on John Dutton and she clearly has a fear of him and what he's got going on. I could be wrong.
