I work in youth ministry. Taking the youth to see it.

I don't think the ending was a dream. He retired, Alfred got his wish, and Hathaway got her "fresh start"

Mother of God; that was amazing.

Africkingmazing. The perfect ending to this saga. Beautifully done. Batman wasn't even in maybe a third of the movie and it was still great. The most emotionally gripping of the trilogy by far.

That made it awesome. You just kept waiting and waiting for him. At times I almost forgot about him

They actually made Batman the star of a Batman movie.
Whodathunkit.

Not a ten, it wasn't better than Dark Knight and a lot of the movie seemed pretty slow.
and Robin?

I absolutely loved the throwbacks to the first two movies? Really felt like they brought the trilogy to a satisfying climax and resolved all the many storylines.
Another thing, did anyone start to wonder just when the hell we'd see Alfred again near the end before his final cameos?

You knew it was coming the minute he talked about his parent's death.

This movie was the most "Nolan-Like" movie of the triology, with the flashbacks, twists, opening ending, etc.
Only difference being he had 2 previous movies he could pull footage from.
And you knew Alfred was coming back. It was just a matter of when.

Yea it was obvious. I'm happy with how they did it though. Not gay and not a stupid sidekick.

Awesome movie. But I still think The Dark Knight was better.

It was, in my opinion, as a movie at least.
TDK
TDKR
BB
my personal opinion
All three are awesome. I'd gladly rewatch any of them any time.

***SPOILERS***
So the ending, his name is Robin, but it shows him in the cave with the Bats flying around him and shows the bat suit. And it shows Bruce. So is Bruce just going to train him and let him be Batman or is he Just going to be Robin or Batman and Robin? Nolan did say he would never let Robin show up. I think Bruce just trains him to be Batman the evidence for that out weighs him being Robin or Batman and Robin

Holy gaping plot holes, Batman!
Quick thoughts:
I really wanted to love this, but it's a mess of a movie. The 3rd act problems of BB and TDK percolate early in this film and nearly swallow the first half. Things happen for no reason, as do character motivations. It has an almost incompressible narrative and structure, Bane's plan makes no sense, and its heavy-handed, false sense of profundity got on my nerves. How anyone can make a nearly 3 hour Batman movie and make it feel rushed is beyond me.
Way too many characters that unnecessarily bloat the film and make it feel like a bad Russian novel. It was a frustrating movie to me, because there is a great one lost somewhere. It's a mindbogglingly messy movie, albeit with some cool set peices; it seems like they went one round with the script and shot it. I'd go as far to say it's Nolan's worst film.
2.5/5
