I was fairly shocked at how low rent the people were. Lower than a trailer park. No one is going to college, open drug use on social media by a minor, a minor living with a 20 year old instead of her parents, parents who are okay with their kids being complete losers. Hopefully this show is just reflective of Strongsville, OH and not the nation at large.

there's something about that post high school couple of years for kids that dont have a plan that is just so depressing to me. we all knew people like that. they didnt go to college, but didnt really have a plan to go to work either, and they just sort of floated in that no-man's land of realizing that the glory years of 11th and 12th grade were over and never coming back. happened to my little brother. lots of drinking, drugs, and pretending like you're still in HS while the real world is looming over you like Mordor.

anyways, that's neither here nor there. i was just reflecting on that while watching the show.

McKenzie definitely became more hood/urban in jail. She didn’t seem like that before. More just spoiled, entitled, etc.

Umm, what? She was extremely hood for a high schooler. Doing weed every single day and posting it on sanp, wearing eye lashes that were 10ft long, just overall trashy/hood behavior. If anything, she looked better in jail.

Overall, not sure what her goal or motive was in the crash. Kill herself along with Dom? No way, in my mind you think you would survive that and others wouldn’t

Yes she was trying to kill herself. but just because you can't say for sure she was trying to kill herself doesn't mean what she did wasn't murder of two other people.

That's not how it works

Again, no way a jury finds her guilty.

No way a jury finds the least sympathetic person to ever go on trial not guilty, suuuuure.

Shocker alert, her dad is a teacher in high school. I've heard he's been put on Administrative leave after the airing of the Netflix doc.

This is who is teaching America's youth. Insane.

Watching this as an attorney, her defense attorney was incompetent. I truly think he looked at how little evidence the state had and thought they would never get a conviction and he didn’t put in the work for a competent defense.

No witnesses to what happened in the car and her boyfriend had allegedly grabbed the steering wheel when she was driving a couple of weeks prior. Also she was driving 100 mph towards a building and neither dude could turn the wheel bc the 85 pound girl was too strong?

I think she’s trash and probably was responsible. But I’m not sure about beyond a reasonable doubt.

Her mom’s statement in front of the judge was beyond pathetic.

Go watch the whole statement, it's even worse than the bit Netflix showed.

Didn’t it mention at the end of the doc that her appeal was denied as well because the attorney filed it a couple days after the deadline?

Yes, beyond incompetent. They tried to blame it on being a leap year, as if that were a factor in October.

That girl and her parents are the absolute worst.

The a-hole wore a “Boom” t-shirt on a documentary about his daughter killing 2 people in a car wreck where the car damn near exploded.

He’s a true piece of shite.

Why in the hell would she opt for a bench trial? The judge rules on evidence and laws, while a jury makes decisions on emotion and empathy. That prosecutor had a field day, especially when he realized they had zero defense other than “no recollection.”

Great documentary, but some dirt bag parents.

The girl seemed like a horrible person. Seems like she was a horrible bully at school. I'm sure there were a lot of former classmates who are glad to see she got what she deserved.

I don't think she intended to kill herself. There's no way a girl that narcissistic would kill herself. She just did a stupid irrational act without thinking and killed both boys. Just a horrible person. She should have been the one who was killed.

Really though, none of those kids really seemed to have a future. The former football player had adoptive parents who were trying. I think the Dom kid was a drug dealer. But they definitely didn't deserve what they got.

It also was completely left out of the doc, but three days prior she drove the same route where she murdered those boys. It was out of the way from where she lived so she had no reason to be over there.

This is what I come here for. Didn't know this.

Smoking weed that young while your brain is still developing is really bad for your prefrontal cortex. Her parents should probably be in jail too.

Her attorney was the worst. He didn't even try.

No medical expert on Pots.

Allowing TikTok performances to be used as evidence.

Not proving she wasn't suicidal and had no reason to put herself in danger.

Allowing her to take a full murder rap on Davion. She had no motive to kill Davion.

Not mentioning or addressing her obvious eating disorder, or whatever body image disorder she clearly has. Maybe low blood sugar caused the blackout/crash due to her borderline anorexia and drug use.

Either her attorney was criminally negligent, or the documentary left out all of these reasons.

I thought his parents and sister were amazing. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to be foster parents and they crushed it.

Mackenzie and her interview at the end was awful, I want to emphasize no intent but I don’t remember what happened.

There’s also an hour long one on Hulu has a little bit more information about her.
