Was checking out the new Andor (amazing show for anybody that hasn't watched) and noticed they dropped the whole season of Tales of the Jedi. Episodes are a bit shorter than I expected and alternate between Ahsoka and Young Dooku.

Esquire's "reality":

Are we really expected to believe you -- a noted Comic Book junkie / Furry -- possesses a shred of credibility?

IF you're watching any episode, just pay attention. IF you are acquainted with Scripture you'll see/hear/sense it.

I've watched all of them.

I am... and I didn't.

I do, however, notice how you completely and totally failed to actually respond to my post in any meaningful manner.

Hey Esquire, apparently we're not allowed to like Star Wars or anything similar if we're Christian

"Like"? No.

More like IDOLIZING your comic book characters and fantasy world is where you're at.

The timeline is off a bit in some of the scenes. While the scenes are accurate imo, some took place later than depicted. I love the show and plan to go see the first 3 episodes in the theater this week.

Yeah, I’m not sure if he is trying to make fun of me for discussing movies and tv on the M/TV board or if he thinks I believe Star Wars is actually real. Either way, par for the course for a guy that believes stuff like this.

Just reading thru this thread is a good reminder that the enemy is everywhere.. Even on a message board about a Jesus show.

Wait... he's actually a flat-earther? As in... for real?

100%

That’s why he is trying to make fun of me instead of refuting anything I’ve said.

It's not idolatry to admire aspects of fictional characters or use them to understand yourself/the world

As a kid playing Halo, I admired Master Chief's sense of duty, selflessness, and loyalty. That doesn't mean Jesus' teachings go out the window and now it's the teachings of Master Chief.

If he's actually a flat-earther, then NONE of opinions have any merit and his arguments hold no water whatsoever and he is not to be taken seriously on anything.

Eh... I don't care for it, but I'm not overly torn up about it either.

It not changing anything biblical, it's simply adding a layer of interest to a character, if that makes sense.

i get what youre saying... but its really annoying...

He could be just a numbers nerd and act the same way yet leave out all the autistic actions like shaking his hand.

IMO its taking focus away from the story and focusing on his mannerisms.

Matthew being autistic is just one thing they are adding to this series to make Jesus and the Bible, “relatable.” I’ve watched a few scenes and in each case they have altered the text which in some cases changes its intent.

It’s difficult to watch this and not “read into” the text something that isn’t there. I’d caution even discerning Christians in watching this for that reason alone.

I like the symbolism of it. Jesus taking someone that would be considered flawed in modern standards and placing on equal footing as everyone else.

Similar how they shows the human side of Jesus when he sucked at whatever athletic game they played early on.

Simple ordinary folks.
