I think Sage killed it and then fed it to The Deep and passed it off as a blooming onion. Before the scene ended it showed a sharp object with what looked like blood sitting on the table. Maybe I’m missing something, but that’s the way I took it.

She gave herself a lobotomy with the tool (that's what it looked like to me) - which is why the "world's smartest person" was watching trash TV, eating from Outback and talking like a dumb slut to Deep. I'm guessing her brain can regenerate and this is just her way of chilling for a bit. I'm sure they'll explain it.

How about the ADR on Homelander's kid? Dude is way past puberty so they're putting a kid's voice. The voice doesn't match what's on screen. It's pretty bad. Weird writing. Couldn't we just accept that Homelander's kid is past puberty?

I fricking love the Mean Girls angle.
This show has always been fun, silly, wacky, politically mocking, and entertaining. And it continues to be. People forget that this show has made fun of all of the ridiculousness in this country. On all sides.

Who can look at those pictures and honestly say the after picture looks better than the before picture? Hollywood is a weird place but it’s just crazy to me that women, especially a younger woman would do that to themselves. I’m surprised Amazon didn’t just recast her. She went from early 30’s to early 60’s with to much makeup.

A lot of the writing this season feels like they took snippets from Q Anon stuff and just shoved it in the show.
I didn’t get the lobotomy thing with Sage while watching but that does make sense if her brain regenerates. I also thought the blooming onion was the Deeps Octopussy.

Agreed, and they aren’t using it to make fun of Q anon people, they are using it differently. But it’s whatever really, I don’t care who they make fun of as long as it is spread around and not super repetitive and unclever. But the writing is definitely different this season, and not for the better. At least so far.
And I wondered about that tool that Sage had too. But the lobotomy angle does make sense.

There are a some Qanon lines but it fits with the narrative of the show. That stuff was so batshit crazy it was funny.

It has its good aspects, like Homelander and Butcher, but this season the writing has become really eye rolling and hamfisted. I appreciate them going at both sides as they have in the past, but so far this season it’s about 90/10 slanted one way and most of it’s not clever at all.
I’m hoping they’ll get to some closure by the end of the season and end it. I can watch it now, with many eye rolls, but I’m afraid if they go another season it will just be too much and not watchable.

Agreed. I barely got through the third episode and I wasn't even the biggest fan of last season. I'm not sure if I'll keep going at this point. I think the writing has declined significantly and people are just clinging to mature rated fight scenes and lazier and lazier jokes about today's political climate.

The creator has already said if you don’t like it don’t watch it. It’s HIS vision. And it’s going to be finished the way he wants to finish it. There’s going to be one more season regardless.
I get it though. Everyone’s just so sensitive these days. On both sides. Nobody can handle a fricking joke anymore. This show is literally a parody joke. Always has been guys.
